A pretty good read on how some of the middle men served jail time for something that may not have even been a crime while Kansas acts like they did nothing wrong despite evidence they were paying players.

Sure wasn't true for UK basketball in the 80s and football in early 2000s. Seems like a different world back then.Anyone who actually follows college sports can see it’s a sham. Rules are not evenly applied, they are applied based on the school or coach. College sports is a big business, and certain schools are protected at all costs (and sometimes gifted a title for their troubles).
Yet, their fans come on here and state emphatically how the staff did nothing wrong. At all. Whatsoever. Just absolutely amazing mental gymnastics their fans perform in explaining Kansas’ innocence in the matter. Surprised they haven’t twisted themselves into a pretzel yet. 🤦♂️It truly is incredible that they have all those phone recordings and evidence, and still nothing from the NCAA. I hope Merl Code gets a sit down interview with a major network and lays everything out there on the line. He served prison time for KU. Let's expose them further. KU ruined this dude's life.
“My career has been obliterated, my reputation has been obliterated,” Code told me. “I lost my freedom, I’m a convicted felon. All because I did what I was told to do.”
Pretty much like the LSU coach saying he made a “strong ass offer”.“I have the phone call with Kurt where he says he’ll pay for Zion Williamson,” Code said. “Kansas can say they don’t know all day long, but that’s not the truth.”

Well there was that 500 win basketball, that is some serious stuffAnd non UK fans bitch about Cal and his "cheating"... this is just crazy.
So either you’re saying Duke outbid Kansas or you’re saying Townsend didn’t offer to pay for Zion. Which is it?Surely no reasonable person would conclude Zion turned down free money from KU to play for free at Dook
Well if it’s on tape then it happened. But until the tape is heard……. It’s all hearsay.Surely no reasonable person would conclude Zion turned down free money from KU to play for free at Dook
According to the NCAA even hearing isn't believing.Well if it’s on tape then it happened. But until the tape is heard……. It’s all hearsay.
Judge Judy is way smarter than the NCAAHearing it and actually seeing the money given or tracked thru accounts is pretty circumstantial. At least on Judge Judy
Don't forget Sherron Collins.I mention that because it is exactly the same with Kansas. Everyone knows Self is a liar and a cheater. Everyone knows he got cited for "loss of institutional control" for running a shabby, fraudulent program. And everyone especially knows that he recruits the likes of Arterio Morris and Carlton Bragg and Josh Jackson and Lagerald VIck and Silvio DeSousa because he doesn't care at all about character.
So either you’re saying Duke outbid Kansas or you’re saying Townsend didn’t offer to pay for Zion. Which is it?
The act of making the bid was supposed to be a major infraction in itself.Let’s suppose it’s the former. Dook simply outbid Kansas. In that case why would Kansas be punished for what Dook actually carried out?
What sense would that make
People say believe half of what you see;According to the NCAA even hearing isn't believing.
The same sense as trying to commit a murder. You still get jail time even though you were too much of a dumbass to succeed in your mission. There are a lot of important parallels in this analogy for KU, actually.Let’s suppose it’s the former. Dook simply outbid Kansas. In that case why would Kansas be punished for what Dook actually carried out?
What sense would that make
When anyone, especially a donor or coach, associated with the school is out offering money to play it was considered a "lack of institutional control" unless you are Kansas, Duke and UNC and then it was fair game.Let’s suppose it’s the former. He didn’t dumb ass even someone as stupid as a Jailhawk could see the place where Zion and his parents were given and the money was just better than what the Rug Doctor and Kansas offeredSurely no reasonable person would conclude Zion turned down free money from KU to play for free at Dook
Because everybody knows that zion was just the most expensive recruit you went after that year, and got out-bid. You didn't throw an 0-fer that recruiting cycle; just had to settle for less choice players. Your m.o. on recruiting was exposed. Adidas was buying players for you. I'm sure they still areOk, but you’re still not explaining why Kansas would need to take the fall for Dook when they were the ones who obv paid Zion.
Nobody here wants to explain this. Or why the NCAA should’ve punished us for Dook’s crime

Or when they say Zion's stepfather wants housing at whatever college he goes too. Then it comes out his family is staying at a million dollar home in the Durham suburbs.Surely no reasonable person would conclude Zion turned down free money from KU to play for free at Dook
The difference is that KU actually tried to steal the purse, and actually DID steal others. Guys are in jail for it, lol. I used the murder analogy because I thought it’d be more easily related to your players. Would rape have worked better???Sorry that makes no sense. This wasn’t “murder”. It’s more akin to me texting a co-worker that I’m going to steal another’s purse but I never do. The guy who did would be charged with theft not me.
Are you actually trying to say that they didn't do anything wrong?Sorry that makes no sense. This wasn’t “murder”. It’s more akin to me texting a co-worker that I’m going to steal another’s purse but I never do. The guy who did would be charged with theft not me.
I should have known better than try to explain the NCAA's lack of institutional control to a Kansas fan. It's normal life for your scumbag coach and program so you see it as normal.Ok, but you’re still not explaining why Kansas would need to take the fall for Dook when they were the ones who obv paid Zion.

Yes he definitely was more concerned with that than the fact Kansas got a slap on the wrist for what was exposed as the greatest systemic pay for play scandal in college sports.Article was written by the same guy who wrote this.
Kentucky must reckon with the full meaning of Adolph Rupp

I honestly don't believe he cares that Kansas got off easy. Sounds like the real reason he's upset is because most of the fall guys in this scandal are black coaches and shoe reps.
