They haven’t lost. They are still up 2 sets to 1. And who cares? A great many UK fans who support UK athletics across the board.

It's always good to see Kentucky teams doing well. Florida is ranked #1 in the country...would be a huge win for Coach Skinner's team.

Totally disgusting and uncalled for remark. UK volleyball attracts very large crowds for their home games and they are all their to watch some of the best volleyball in college athletics. You are so wrong in your view about a small few and the rest of your remarks are way off base and extremely immature. Hope mods decide to give you a little timeout for going way overboard with those types of remarks.
I understand your confusion on the this thread - the title "Women's Volleyball" is tricky and certainly could be totally misunderstood - You probably clicked on it, and responded to it thinking it would be a thread on basketball.
I wouldn't. My wife and I watch UK women's volleyball on the SEC network together. We support all UK sports. I suppose you only like UK basketball and like Alabama football, right?

Actually, I would watch it more for the competition. If UK is playing in any sport (yes, even blind curling), I'll watch and fist pump when UK wins.
The hot tail is just a bonus.
Also, I play volleyball twice a week (recreation and league) and my daughter played for 4 years in HS, so I do have an interest in the sport.
It was a good match. The freshman setter for UK is very good and making the hitters very good. Now the offensive firepower on the team is tremendous but the setter is putting them in positions to succeed almost every time, even with not so great passes.
I played for years recreationally around town. My claim to fame is serving 15 in a row in a city league game. The other team was pretty bad and we had Jim Andrews (UK basketball) manning the outside hitter spot. Once he nailed their opposite hitter with a spike (at about 8 feet from the net), they were done. I played in some pretty good men's leagues. There was a league years back that played at Midway College with teams from Louisville, Cincinnati, Frankfort, and Lexington. I'm guessing this year's Women's team would probably beat most of the teams out there.

Volleyball is fantastic to watch though most of you have no idea what is going on. This group could well win the NC for UK. Proud of Coach Skinner and the Cats.
It is a fantastic sport and not for the tame. Some of those attacks are coming at you nearly 100 MPH. I coached high school VB for many years and go to as many UK home games as I can. This team, in my opinion, is the best and most complete team Skinner has had and they are proving it right now. The freshman setter is playing nothing like a freshman and is a true team leader. We get to see her get even better for the next three years yet, she could be amazing during that time frame. Our passing gets a little sloppy at times but, overall, is pretty good too. Our attackers are great and, as one poster above pointed out, a lot of that has to do with the freshman setter. Some of you that are mocking the sport should go to some UK games, it might just change your mind about the game. Go Cats!!!!
We used to play volleyball over at Alumni Gym every Sunday and many Fridays. It was pretty decent volleyball for pickup volleyball. I once had a backrow player fed up with the poor sets try to set me on 1 and overpassed it. The hitter on the other side was a laid back hippy dude that could really hit. Knocked me cold as I blocked it with my forehead. Figured I had Tachikara tattooed there for a few weeks. Definitely not for the weak.

And honestly, there aren't many girls that are 17 playing college basketball. If you know how the age system/etc works in schools, some may be 17 when college starts in September, but by the time basketball rolls out in October, they're going to be 18...so get off that high horse dude
