Women in Powell's book denying...

This is legal wrangling and it doesn't have any impact on the NCAA , which is what Louisville cares about the most .

I would imagine these women are denying this because of the apparent possibility that at least some of the recruits they "entertained" are/were underage, thus they're trying to protect themselves from criminal charges of having sex with a minor.
Good point.

Having a Grand Jury hanging over their heads would have a real influence.

Does anyone believe that the publisher and Cade went forward with this book without having some collaboration from witnesses other than Katina?

They did this for several reasons:

1) legal - because, you know, this is illegal
2) discretion - i doubt they want the world to know they are hookers
3) money - they aren't getting a penny from this, so not going to allow their name to be used

This has no bearing on UL/NCAA...as long as Katrina can prove money was exchanged for services between herself and UL staff...that's all the matters. And by the way, she has proved it.

Louisville fan for the past month: You can't take the word of a dirty hooker. None of our outstanding young men in the program have said anything about this. She has to be lying, who would take her word over our players. Louisville fan today: We told you cats fans she was lying. We can definitely take the word of the dirty hookers that worked for that lying dirty hooker. Our former players are lying and who would listen to them and take their word over these nice dirty hookers. The hypocrisy in every other statement they make never ceases to amaze me.

I really don't care who slept with whom, who is a hooker or prostitute or who isn't. Don't care who is trying to sue whom and for what. If anyone was paid to render services, above and beyond what is allowed as clearly stated in NCAA bylaws, to a recruit or player for the purpose of getting them to sign on the dotted line then it's an NCAA violation. All the rest of it is fluff.

Deny because they would admit to breaking several laws and land time behind jail for a while.
Hard to get pimped out and making them Benjamin's when your behind bars.

You had me at, I ;)

Exactly, and the sex isn't the only reason for infractions anyhow,it has already been said that UL Coaches gave recruits and players One Dollar Bills to stuff in Stripper's G-Strings,that in itself is an Infraction.Recruits and Players admitted to having sex in the Outside The Lines Investigation, the Whores are denying to keep from being prosecuted by the UL Backed Grand Jury Farce/Coverup..

Strippers don't get paid salaries, it's all tips. And hookers get arrested all the time. They just don't spend much time in the clink and are back out doing what hookers do.

Why would accused hookers deny they were hookers? Why would recruits and former players admit to something they didn't do? Which tale do you think is more likely true?

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that you always trust the word of a hooker named Precious.

Now, from the book she used the girls stage names and I don't know the specifics. I cant say who she claimed was paid for sex and who wasn't but I believe these "strippers" are claiming guilt by association because Powell said some girls were prostitutes and the book had a group photo. Powell has always maintained she just ran stripper parties and Andre McGee offered girls who were interested extra money for a full oil change, which is different from calling these girls prostitutes.

The part of the suit about using their picture and names is interesting to me. Im surprised the publisher didn't try to secure releases.

So the Louisville defense now is that some of them were only strippers? Bet their fans are super excited now.

Amazingly enough, some of them are.

Not sure they have thought through how strippers contesting the stories of prostitutes in a courtroom helps their program, but they seem to believe that this is outstanding news for them.

off topic, but I would love to hear your take on the issue of "taking attendance" in college classes that is being discussed in the last few pages of the UNC thread. If you have some time and would like to chime in, I would be interested in your take.

The recruits would have to be under 16, so I doubt it.

I haven't seen what was discussed there. I'll go over and check it out.

We are supposed to take it because because some federal financial aid is tied to class attendance and we could be asked to provide documentation. Having said that, we still have some Profs who don't do it.

But, this is UL's attempt at pressuring these women into denying the events, and all UL cares about is convincing some of the fanbase that they were framed.

That's funny. It never gets old to me at all.

In fact, every day as the noose tightens more and more around Little Brothel's neck, it makes me feel like dancing.

From everything I've read, it's more than the tips.

Yeah, the local media is lapping this up and framing it as if the entire thing is bogus. UL fans and the local media have zero shame and will excuse anything and cover up anything to save their joke of a team.

First story was this lawyer denying his ladies had sex. The commentary by the reporter was not impartial at all. Second story was highlights of the game tonight. 3rd story was the story about Kuric's brain surgery. Jurich pulling the strings like the puppeteer he is.
