Once again this week we are un-ranked in the ESPN top 25 power rankings. I wonder why no love?

It seems like with quality wins over UF and Miss st we should be ranked somewhere in there..

ESPN has been posting this since very early in the season. We’ve been on this list all yr but I don’t think it has meant a lot. I think now that it’s mid season it’s starting to hold value and the longer that were on it the more validity it has.

Basically it says that if your average top 25 ranked team played our schedule thus far they’d have a 30% chance to go 5-1. Another way to say it is that we’re quite a bit better than the average top 25 team so far.

It’s not a huge piece of information but ESPN is showing us some love. We’re just used to UK basketball love which is front page all the time.
