Why did Jacob Toppin not consider a return?

Toppin should have never been here. He's just not good enough. People thought he should have played over Brooks last year. This year we saw whey he didn't. As bad as Brooks was, he was better than Toppin.

He was unguarded this year and didn't take advantage. He can't pass, can't handle, damn sure can't guard and he is too much of a sissy to take it to the basketball.
His biggest problem is his softness and handle in the paint area with his athleticism. He should shoot 5-8 FT’s a game.

I honestly think it’s as simple as he was just ready to move on from college. I don’t even think he expected to get a ton of draft buzz

He was here far long enough to realize he wouldn't be developed at all by this staff.

I guess the pressure at Kentucky and Cal screaming at him was just to much, three years is a lot to play somewhere and look unhappy all the time. I think overseas or G-league is about it for him.

Cal, Toppin, Frederick and Wheeler are all the same. All talk.

It’s a shame only 3 of the 4 are gone. I wonder why that is?
I don't think Wheeler was all talk. That's silly. He was consistently in the top of the SEC Assist Leaders. That's tangible proof of hard work. Wheeler played hard. He just reached the peak of his game. And that's ok. He was more than serviceable. Like it or not he won several games for us, where without him we would not have succeeded. Now, he wanted to be more than he could at UK, and couldn't come to terms with that. But Wheeler did give us effort and time.

CJ was hurt man and never ran his mouth, seriously? Dude tried to play with bruised ribs. Ever do that? I'm not saying he was who we all thought he was but he was consistently injured.

Cal and Toppin? Well, that's another story. The both fall in the, "If they actually really tried?" boat.

Toppin is exceedingly talented. Unfortunately seems his emotional health is and will continue to impact his ability to perform consistently on the basketball court. There is no other reason why he isn't a lotto pick

'It's hard to play here"

Only since a certain coach has been here..........
So it was easy to play here when Billy was the coach? Not allowing players to ride the team bus back after games, making players sit in the shower during halftime so they couldn't be a part of the team.

I'm sure it was easy to play here for Eddie when he was running the program into a scandal

They weren't making it about the fans

Oh I agree, but impacting team winning is not Cals first priority. That’s why Immanuel Quickley came off the bench for 10 games behind Khalil Whitney and others. Whitney struggled making layups and started 8 games over the SEC player of the year.
💯💯💯💯

Neither can you. MKG played more than 90% of his minutes at Kentucky at the 3. Might have played some spot minutes at the 4 when AD or TJ was on the bench, but that's it.
What's this? @UKBB4Ever not knowing what he's talking about (again)?

Say it ain't so...

People continuously discount the fact that Wheeler led the league in assists, saying that doesn't matter, but pump up the fact that Oscar led the league in rebounds and say that matters tremendously. Assists lead to points, rebounds can, but not necessarily. I think Oscar is one of the best rebounders I've ever seen, but not one of the best basketball players I've seen.
