So we have Fox. Who will be the next to commit and do you think we will get one more during the early signing period or not till spring? What say you?

I think Monk along with Fox would be the crown jewels of this class....I like our possible returning big men...I think Lee and Humphries along with who we have signed would be a solid 4-5....I would love another swing player...but Willis can give us that as well...
I've been really surprised at how well Willis has played. I think he will be alright this year so will the whole squad.

Speaking of Bam, what happened to the idea that he would commit to NC State right after his Halloween visit (last official, IIRC)? Is it still a 100% conclusion that he's going to NC State from those in the know or have things shifted a little?

Bam is much more into UK then most think/assume. This is a deal where parties are split (despite what you've read) and UK has a chance. Again, I've got no dog in this fight--but have enjoyed talking basketball/recruiting with people here, so wanted to pass this on.

Time for Kobi Simmons to end all the suspense and just come here and learn under Cal.

Are you saying that's it time for Cal to make an unconditional offer?

IMO, I don't see a Simmons decision impacting the Monk recruitment. Cal has proven plenty of times he can mesh top talent.
If we're successful with a 3 PG lineup, no reason why it can't become the norm when multiple guys want to play here.

And we already know that one injury opens up lots of minutes to the rest of the group. I saw a lot of tired players in the B/W game, and there's room for Fox and Simmons without a doubt. Ulis would tell you the same thing.

I'm fairly certain Simmons would have committed months ago if Cal had let him. He wants Monk and he's not going to do anything to scare him off. That's why Simmons said he was going to wait until spring to announce. Do you remember when Simmons said a decision date and then quickly changed his mind? Do you think it's because he didn't know where he wanted to go? No way. He was going to commit to Kentucky and Cal told him to hold off.

Cal got skills!

I haven't followed recruiting as intensely as I have in years past but it seems like to me, here's where we are for 2016 class...
We will be the #2 recruiting class, (you actually have to have Anthony Davis listed on your incoming to actually beat the Duke slurp factor with the press) but, I'm not worried, all the parts are there for a great team. Fox was the key, we are probably going to get some returning SG's next year so Monk would be great, but not live or die crucial, and we have some nice complimentary 2016 bigs signed when added to our returning Australian bigs and Willis, we're much, much better team than the Knight final four team. Icing on the cake and more crucial than monk would be to add a top ten big, but that's icing...even where we are right now, RIGHT NOW we can make final four run next year.

Don't need Simmons..if we can't get Bam, wait till Spring and see if another big shows up unexpectedly. Monk is a must.

If our 3 guards look like they're all leaving once spring rolls around and Monk decides, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with Simmons after all. ESPECIALLY if we miss in Monk, but even if we don't, I give us a fighting chance. Now if We get Monk AND Ulis or Briscoe come back, I think Simmons goes elsewhere. Just too many variables in the next few months to say anything accurately right now.

With Dennis Smith enrolling this year, does that mean that he is draft eligible this year? If so, then Bam to Kentucky makes more sense, because Smith will be gone.
