I’m not the biggest fan of LeBron off the court but I’ll admit he’s one of the best if not the best to ever play the game of basketball. Nobody was better than LeBron when he was in his prime years. So when it’s all said and done and he retires, who do you think will be that next player who can have the same impact on the game like he did and maybe be considered the “next” GOAT?

I disagree with you on that, I think Tatum is very overrated, he is a constant no show in big games.
You mean like the 51 he scored v Philly in Game 7? The most ever in a Game 7.
He is only 25 yrs old. I disdain him because he played at Duke and now Boston but the guy is unreal and is the only reason I could see Boston coming back from this 3-0 hole.
If not Tatum then who?

There’s 4-5 guys I would take over Tatum right now. He’s good but no where close to the level the OP is talking about. I personally think it’s Jokic but people don’t talk about him like they should. Tatum’s skillset is a dime a dozen, Jokic will change the way Centers play the game and that’s more along the lines of what the OP was talking about.

Wemby has the body and hype to surpass Lebron but I'm sure his career will be filled with injuries. Just how it goes with players with those type of bodies

Jokic if he can go on a bit of a run here. Think they can go back to back... gotta get the 1st though

Tatum isn't consistent enough yet and his defense is lacking... that's a wait and see for me.

Also part of Lebrons greatness is his longetivity is absolutely crazy. I think "Next" is going to have to do their damage within a 10-12 year timespan

I'm not sure there is currently a known player that is, close, or could be LeBron in his prime level. He's not the 'greatest basketball player' ever, but I'd argue he's the 'most talented' ever.
