Which teams do you cheer for in other rivalries?

It’s the best week in college football so I’m curious who do you all root for in the other rivalries?


Conference realignment has screwed up Rivalry Week but I’ll hit the major traditional ones.

Ohio State vs Michigan
My pick: Michigan

Alabama vs Auburn
My pick: Auburn

Army vs Navy
My pick: Army

Ole Miss vs Miss State
My pick: Ole Miss

Florida vs FSU
My pick: FSU

South Carolina vs Clemson
My pick: Clemson (kind of depending on the year)

Although it was never during rivalry week
Oklahoma vs Texas
My pick: Oklahoma

USC vs UCLA
My pick: USC
I guess this is now USC vs ND
My pick: USC

Georgia vs Ga Tech
My pick: Georgia

The other games like Washington vs Wash State, Oklahoma vs OK St, Oregon vs Oregon State have all died now. Always liked all of these games.

My list is close to yours except I root for GATech and UCLA (visiting the Rose Bowl is on my bucket list).

• OSU (begrudgingly) over UM…lived in C-bus for 2 years
• Auburn over Bama
• Navy over everyone
• MSU (ole miss seems to have coaches that I don’t like)
• UF (SEC fandom only-otherwise Gator hater)
• Clemson (daughter in law is a CU grad)
• OU
• UCLA
• UGA (SEC fandom only and I lived in Athens twice). I do respect GT though
• A&M over Tx (served in the military with some great Aggies)
• Vandy over UT
• Va Tech over UVA (lived in VA 13 years) VT is the true state school….UVA is a fine school catering to elite out of state students. More like Duke is to UNC.
• PU over IU
• UK over UL goes without saying.

Same, same. I am always cheering for UK and whomever is playing UT.

The only thing I root for Ohio State to do is lose. Otherwise I truly dgaf.

For years, I had a few favorite college football teams other than UK... I had to in order to stay interested at times.

In the SEC, there was and still is one squad other than ours I'm always ready to back... LSU.

Loved to back UM v OSU and the rest of the B10 for years... less so in the Harbaugh era. Loved PSU even more (prior to B10 entry) but lost all respect for school, Joe Pa, and program over the obvious. Not ever going back.

These days, living in Indiana, I gotta back them in any contest not involving the Cats.

Always favored USC in the PAC-10, Oklahoma in B8, Texas in SWC (made Red River easy to watch... I just wanted a good football game) and Ga Tech in ACC.

Root for the academies and BC (and the Devil himself) v Notre Dame.
