We beat U of L last year, who had a 9 win season. We beat SC, this season, who has at least 8 wins on the year.
I seriously think doing this in successive seasons, even just once each season, is pretty unique in our history. We knocked off Auburn and Georgia on the road, in 2009, but neither of them got 8 regular season wins. We beat U of L in 2002, as a heavy dog, but they won 7 that year.
We beat Louisville, LSU and Arky in 2007. U of L ended up with 6 wins, but I think Arky had 8 or more, and LSU won the title, so, I guess that was a better accomplishment.
While a modest statistic, it stacks up pretty favorably to a very modest history.
