I'm gonna go against the grain and be optimistic. I say 3-9.
I can’t stress enough to wait and look at the roster come April . What would any of us said if asked this last yr with Indiana , Florida,South Carolina, Vandy , SMU and tons of others . On the flip side , we may have gone a bit higher for Alabama, Michigan, Florida state , USC and tons of others . Keep an eye on this first-time late wave of portal guys entering after the playoffs…for playoff teams and more highly recruited guys than usual . Many in search of NIL , maybe they’re second string or were recruited over at places like UGA , bama . If each playoff team just has 10 enter the portal ( it’ll be more) that’s well. over 100

Unless they hit a dozen or so home runs in the portal they may in fact struggle with some of the "cup cakes".
We be aight, Stoops is reloading as we speak, he's orchestrating a masterful comeback, already has an offensive lineman visiting from a prestigious program, Western Carolina. No one takes a loss harder them him, no one, so you can either whine and carry on with your insolence or finally, for once, start backing this man.
2025, a year of retribution, many of the top teams are coming into Lexington to be systematically dismantled, can't wait!
4 and 8. Best case with Stoops going forward is a 6 and 6 or 7 and 5 campaign IMO.
I’d almost take 5, a revamped line via the portal that performs better than expected and returns 2–3 starters , solid yr from a young Cutter that would only get better the next yr. Mostly , a breakout year for a running back room ( Trayanum,Wilcox, Patterson, etc plus any portal picks) that I think has loads of talent and potential and has already shown glimpses

There is no denying it looks brutal. Florida, UT, and South Carolina have legit QB’s. Georgia and Auburn will probably get the best QB in the portal. Texas will be loaded. Vandy takes a step back but they will have a good enough roster to bet anyone. Louisville who knows but that offense is going to be stupid good if their line comes back intact.
They have to be smart in the portal.

3 wins. The program has lost all momentum. Only a matter of time before the locker room gives up. The schedule is just to difficult for a successful rebuild. For all the talk about creating a winning culture its easy to see that its gone. Stoops would much rather be somewhere else and it shows. This staff is just collecting paychecks now.
This is absolutely true. That said, unless Stoops and staff really knock it out of the park in the transfer portal, and develop the young guys they already have, we could very well be looking at another 4-8 season.
We might have a shot at beating Vandy, maybe Auburn. It doesn’t look good right at this moment.
True but does it really matter the one person that shouldn't be here will still be here. I don't see him winning any games that he isn't supposed to next year but I could see him dropping a game that he isn't supposed too.
See that word rebuild has me fuming. I mean the coach has been here since 2013 we should be talking reloading not rebuilding!
How can anyone project anything when we don’t have a clue what the makeup of the roster is going to be after all things are said and done.
Rolling with cutter in ‘25 likely has us rewarded tremendously in ‘26 and ‘27, with a revamped line . Andre Woodson was thrown in the fire in 2005 , blossomed late that yr..then gave us pretty elite play in ‘06 and ‘07. Stoops needs to win some in 2025 tho , so I say the improving RB room and NIL bought line gets us 6
Because we see who is on the schedule. It's simple logic.
It's an entirely relevant question and everyone is curious. But how can anyone possibly even offer an intelligent guess about the 2025 record at this point? We don't know what our roster will look like. We don't know how many players any of these other teams will lose in the portal. Knock yourself out but I will wait until after spring practice before I even begin to form ideas about our 2025 football team.
I’m going to say that we finish 6-6 next year and be one of the up and coming teams. I really hope that we can turn it around and get more wins and make it to a no name bowl game before they are done away with forever.
