OK, so let me get this straight.
We win in OT after Ole Miss hits 86% from the free throw stripe, 49% from the field and hits 9-17 from three point land. In addition to having two players having Devan Downey-like performances, hitting contested shots like crazy and playing one of the best games I've ever seen a Mississippi team play.
THEN, we then win on the road in DOUBLE OT, after playing a crappy game, the Harrison's going a combined 6-40 with three of our starters fouling out, choking away a layup and free throws to win in regulation....
What's next? Or more importantly, what crazy way is there left to pull out a win?
Here's how I got it figured out....
Next game : Win at Rupp after playing the worst game in the history of Kentucky basketball. Our guards hitting 3-66 from the field, but WCS, Lee, and DJ making 60-60 from the free throw line? Meanwhile, Montaque Gill-Caesar (the last player on the court for them, since all the rest of their players will have obviously fouled out) hits 20-20 from three point land and 2-2 from the field (for 2 point shots), scoring all 64 of their points for a career (and most likely - how could it not be - school record in points) and then UK rallying to comeback from 20 points in the last 3 minutes for an impossible 66-64 triple OT win ?
Only thing about it will be making it thru the game without a heart attack.
Sounds about right to me.
