During warmups he was knocking down 3’s, with nice touch and rotation. This didn’t transfer to the game, however, as he was only 1 for 7 from the 3. Wenyen is very thin and is 3” taller than the center on his team, but was playing against a 7’0” and a 6’11”. This did not stop him from going to war on the boards as he pulled down 14 rebounds and blocking 8 shots. I loved his motor and the way he fought against the bigs inside. Needs to improve his outside ball-handling. Definitely the shot blocker that Calipari loves. Not surrounded by a lot of good players and they do not look to get the ball to Wenyen as much as they should.
