Probably battling Bama and Florida for that 4th spot. I don’t see USC, Auburn or Tennessee dauktering enough to come back to us.
Unfortunately UK fans get to spend a lot of time disappointed.
It’s certainly a possibility right now, but a lot can happen between now and the end of league play.
Imagine being fans of 90% or more of all sports teams. You'd be disappointed every single year. Some of our fans have no idea how good they have it. Some are never happy, though, about anything so I get it.
The fan police make another appearance. Please, tell us more about how we are supposed to feel and act.

The backside of Bama's schedule is loaded, so I think they may begin to tumble soon and it started last night. I think we will end up in 4th.

I was responding to his comment that UK fans are disappointed allot. I totally get your post and am not disputing it.
I’m kind of leaning that way, too. It’s going come down to the wire for all teams. We got 4 SEC home games and 4 SEC road games left. This team really needs to protect home court, and try to go 2-2 on the road- hopefully sneaking out of either Auburn or Tenn with a win. Not going be easy, but lets see where we stand when the dust settles.
Actually South Carolina is going to come back down to earth.

You know.....I was watching SEC Now after the UK game the other night and they were talking about media picks compared to current SEC standings.
I think UK was picked to finish 4th and we are currently looking at 5th. Sad but it looks like we basically played this season exactly where we were predicted to be.
There was massive misses on Arkansas and South Carolina.
South Carolina picked to finish dead last in the SEC. Probably cause they went 4-14 last season in conference. So I was curious about that. They finished 221st in Kenpom last season which I have to imagine was one of the worst power conference teams last year. But they opened the season in that system 66th. They had a ton of guys transfer in from other schools and that's helped them get better quicker.
Surprisingly, they have only gone from 66th to.............44th. For a team that was massively underrated in the eyes of many people, they now have flipped to being massively overrated at 15 in the human polls.

Apparently, you've never experienced real Kentucky basketball, or you wouldn't feel this way. Fact is, 90% of the people on this board are disappointed. We can debate the who other 10% are and their purpose here.
Nothing would surprise me with this team. Get healthy, guys improving confidence, could go on a heater.

Earned not given! We have a coach that is probably the most overrated in the country. At this point, he is probably only 4th-5th best in the SEC
A middling seed paired with Cal's indifference to winning SEC tournaments, and we can go ahead and chalk this up to another early exit. I'll just plan to be pleasantly surprised if I'm watching the Cats on Saturday/Sunday instead of working out in the yard.
Real Kentucky basketball? So I am told here on the boards that real Kentucky is judged by national championships and that should be our expectation every year right?

Agree but atleast the game will be early in the day lol. But honestly if they had just fouled up 3 and if robs shots was 1 inch closer they beat A&M. They would be 8-2 in conference like they should be
Trouble is, this is not your Grandaddy's SEC. The ACC this year is more like UK had in the SEC for many years. Duke and unc are now enjoying the weak ACC and unfortunately we're fighting through a tough SEC. It will all come out in the post-season.
A positive to, if the SEC tourney started today Kentucky first round game would be Arkansas, so basically a buy if they play with any effort
Yep. There's no doubt that UK has slipped a bit recently under Cal but this conference has gotten so much better and its going to be tougher to dominate year in year out now.
There's just too many teams that weren't good in the past, become really good teams.
What does all that history have to do with anything!? History is something to be proud of , but you can't live in what was or what ifs , you must live in what IS! It's a disgrace to be paying a coach what we are and he cares nothing about winning championships only about being a social justice warrior.
Despite where we are at tho, I have to say I have found this team to be extremely entertaining and fun to watch. I think this is my favorite team we've had here post 2015. When we are clicking on offense like we normally do, it's a joy to watch.
