Willis playing very unselfishly. Looking to pass first. Not playing like a kid trying to make up for sitting on the bench for two years. I like it.
If he would be willing to commit a crime , Louisville will be all over him !He transferred closer to home.

Early season I agree. Not a Briscoe fan yet. A little too much unnecessary Archie in his game right now. He'll get it though.
Mulder will get lost in the rotation if he doesn't start hitting those open threes.
Yep, I agree that willis brings what mulder has plus 5 inches. I think Brisco had poor game but I do think he should still start. Hey, gonna be a great year.
He was 2-4 in the BW game. I think he had one in the last game too. Had a bad shooting night. It happens. With Mattews and Willis playing so well, he's unlikely to see much PT unless he excels in other areas as well.
That sounds great but that was only seven. I think Mathews is top 8 and Humphries will see a little time as the nine guy, as will Hawkins once he is back.
doubt it. cal is going to play ulis and murray until they drop. skal as much as he can stay on the court. 30+ minutes for all those guys
This is exactly how I see it..
Those three will get the bulk of minutes, and I suspect he will try and keep it to a 7 man rotation especially midway/late in the year.
Mulder will be fine. Remember, Booker had a bit of a slump the first few games of the season, too. But also, Ulis, Briscoe, Murray, and Matthews all seem to be ahead of him. Hawkins may be ahead of him too whenever he's fully recovered, if he hasn't regressed because of the injury (which I imagine he won't regress). I'm not too worried about Mulder; I imagine he'll get better and more comfortable.
Booker was 1 for his 1st 11 and then didn't miss until Christmas. Dude had such a bizarre season. After his initial slump and then another minor one, he was in a groove and I thought he would be the best 3 pt shooter ever at UK, but then had another run down the stretch where he couldn't hit. Got to be something that can be fixed because when he is on, he's automatic.
It's people who don't understand Cals methods, or are expecting last year to be a norm.
He's always been the same.
1) Defense.....Defense......Defense.....Offense.....Defense.....Defense...
2) 6 to 7 guy rotation

agree. i dont get it. cal has been here a while now...if you dont know by now how he runs his team...well...i dont know what to do for you.
But right away you could see that Booker could play. Which surprised me because I assumed he was basically a spot up shooter who would have to learn to be a player. Whether Mulder hits his shots or not, I still haven't seen enough yet to make me think he is ready to be a significant contributor.
I think Matthews and Humphries have to play. With Matthews you have so much length and on defense that is going to help out a lot. After watching Matthews more closely, i don't think it's just D he brings to the team. That kid is very talented and can do so much on the court. It's just with Cal if you want to play your freshman year you better know how to play some D. The big Aussie kid needs to get minutes this year. We will have him for at least another year and with Skal being a onendone and no true elite bigs coming in, we need to make sure this kid is ready to be the man in the post as early as next year. I know so many are itching for Willis to get minutes this year and i would like to see that as well, i just don't wanna see this happen if it means a kid that can help our team more gets less time. I guess i'm just not sold on Willis being what we're seeing the last 2 exb games the entire year. I hope i'm wrong and he's in the rotation and actually helps the team.
Yeah but as good of a shooter as he is, and has become, I wish he would look for his shot a little more. There was a couple 3's he should have taken tonight. I think he can really contribute off the bench and give us 6-8 points, 4-5 rebounds per game. Hell. He could be our best offensive player off the bench.
That might be what happens, we'll see how Hawkins comes into the picture.
I don't know that these are the best 5 players, but they might fit the best.
I think he plays 8 or 9 most games til February then he'll get down to his 7 man rotation. Too much talent for him not to experiment a little. Plus I think some of these guys deserve minutes in cal's eyes.

i'm thinking he'll get rest minutes. Dude is a freak athlete and good defender. I want to see how much he improved this summer.
