Virginia being played close

If UVA was in our Tournament bracket I would be thrilled. They've been a paper tiger during their entire overrated stretch of success.

They do appear to be greatly overrated. I don't even see them as top 15 team with the players I've seen them put on the floor.

I give Virginia a ton of credit for playing a true road game in the Non-con. This game tonight is exactly why Duke may never play another true road game in the non conference that's not forced on them with the Big 10/ACC challenge.

I think KU is the best team right now. Tons of experience and good young talent. Jmo

And that is why a team like Virginia won't win the title. You don't lose to GW his early in the season if you're Championship worthy.

I forgot who it was when the rankings came out someone said Virginia was ranked to high. They were right.

Help me out with this guys - I kept hearing how Cal can't keep up with the real X and O guys like Bo Ryan and Tony Bennett, I kept hearing that great X and O guys don't lose to teams with lesser talent, and now I keep seeing these UW and UVA scores popping up and I just don't know what to believe any more.

It's almost like - even great coaches can have bad nights against lesser teams and 4 Final Fours with a championship in 6 years is actually pretty decent?! That can't be it, can it?

I think you will enjoy this year in college basketball,I believe there will be a ton of upsets all over the board
Probably right.

Last year was kind of a fluke, in that 6 of the top 7 teams in the final AP poll had 3 or fewer losses, and none had more than 4. You just don't have years like that all too often. In 2014, you had a 6 loss 1 seed, and 9 and 8 loss 2 seeds. In 2013, all of the 1 and 2 seeds had 5 or more losses except Gonzaga. It wouldn't be surprising if this year is a lot more like those.
