Very proud of Jeremiah Fears. I got exactly what I wanted tonight.

You don't have to click on the thread. See how it works?

And if a man can't start a thread about a former student and future lottery pick who almost beat Kentucky almost 30 minutes ago, just what the world is he supposed to start a thread about on this message board?

I know! How about you start another thread about Joe Lunardi's most recent bracketology?
It's not "a thread" this is probably the 4th? I've seen on it. A little much IMO, maybe even a little weird. But do you.

I'm proud of the young man and I wish to God he had ended up in blue and white for us this year, but the timing just didn't work out. This game turned out exactly the way I had hoped, with Jeremiah playing outstanding, but UK still winning in the end (and Oweh getting his revenge).

Jeremiah is legit. I wish he would enter the portal, but he's a legit top 20 pick now and it looks like he's gone. He should be a true senior in high school right now. He made Joliet very proud tonight.

We were fortunate on that last no-call, fellas but I'll take it! It was the right call for the situation.

Good job, Jeremiah!
Glad to hear it man. Kid is a beast and that was a hell of a game.

Was wondering the same. Looked as clean as you could get with that many dudes defending the play. I’ve certainly seen wayyyy worse allowed to happen with no call.
It was totally clean. I replayed it several times. It would have been criminal to call a foul. You could also argue he swallowed his whistle by not calling walking on the 5 steps Fears took.

I didn't see a foul on the last drive to be fortunate about.

Well, there's all sorts of redundancy on this message board. How many times does a poster have someone who he personally knows who wanted to come to UK and end up playing UK in a buzzer-beater level game? I'm excited for UK and Fears tonight.

It's not like I'm creating threads about my favorite stamp collection. Again, if you don't like it, don't click.

If you think that was a foul then you picked the right username.
I think it was a foul. Seemingly so did KSR rapid reaction but I’m glad it wasn’t called. Fears was hit on the head, but I think it was fair that it went our way considering how bad the last Butler foul was

He’ll be 19 in October, he should be a college freshman.

What part of the body was the foul at and who/how was it committed? You would be a perfect SEC ref, guy drives, loses ball, must be foul.

He'll still be 18 at the start of his NBA career and he would be 18 at the start of his sophomore season if he came back.

He reclassified. People typically turn 19 during their second year in college, which is what will be happening with Jeremiah.

Oweh was just as into the game as Fears. Keep in mind, Jeremiah is 18. He's got a lot of growing up to do, and he was playing against his favorite school. I'd probably be acting insane if I was playing against UK at his age.
if UK was his favorite, why didn't he come to UK?
He was offered, but chose to go elsewhere

The no-call at the end. Refs swallowing their whistles when Fears got hit on the head was objectively the right call to make.
I don't understand why you are on University Kentucky basketball board. Its obvious you are not a fan no matter what you try to convince otherwise. It was a clean block and for once the refs did what they should have done and kept their whistle silent.

I don't think it was a foul. What are you talking about?

But my point was that SEC refs have called hot garbage all year, and they could have diced us there, especially with it being on the road.

As for the part about my fandom, I'll chalk that up to your lack of presence on this message board.

You should have taught him sportsmanship. He can play and I’m for a little banter on the court but Oklahoma, with their record, talks way too much crap to the other team.

I think the refs just got confused for a second by the pace of the game and forgot to call the pre-loaded foul on us. They then had an “oh, sh!t” moment and after the buzzer tried real hard to be able to call a technical on BG.

😝

Great player and I don’t care about the chirping . We have guys that chirp so I never understand why people complain about the opponents doing it.

It brings excitement to the game for me . I wish the refs would allow more of it
We love it when it's Antoine Walker doing the shimmy against Vanderbilt on a putback dunk, or DeAndre Liggins calling Harrison Barnes a b*tch, but some people can't take it when it's the other team. I get it. It's tribalism, but it's funny when people go overboard with their disdain for the opponents doing it.

That being said, I'm glad that Jeremiah's last memory of Kentucky is getting his potential game winning shot swatted.

Especially after Otega got hit on the play before.

For ONCE, we got a break from SEC Refs. About time!!!
The Garrison shot under the basket late in the game, I think it was Fears, that had him wrapped up from behind and was raking both arms as he went up to shoot. Garrison scored but no foul was called.

You can bet if that little dust-up had started with 0.1 second on the clock, OU would have been put on the line for the game winner. Fortunately this one would have been easy to check and these refs would have been roasted.
