Upcoming Yellowstone

I think that's exactly what Sheridan did, he just threw stuff together to get to the end and be done with it.
I really think there will be consequences for him in the aftermath.
Fans of the show(his most popular) know they've got the shaft in his half assed attempt at a final season.
I won't be surprised if Landman and the 6666 spinoff don't suffer because of fan backlash the way Costner's "Horizon" did.
I knew fans would reject Horizon.
People didn't want a new Costner western, they wanted him to finish what he started with Yellowstone.
Some really good points. I feel cheated as a fan. People may say he doesn't owe fans anything, I think he does. He owed them a better season than this haphazard stuff. I really liked 1883 and 1923 but I'm about off the Sheridan stuff. I went and saw Horizon and it was awful. And I love westerns. But we about walked out. Too many storylines that really don't add anything. Ala Sheridan.

Billy Bob's wife is starting to make every scene she is in cringeworthy.
She is not helping.

That dinner scene in the last epidode was ugh. I felt the urge to just look away. That's how awkward it was.

And another thing; the idea that Michelob Ultra is a common sense solution to dealing with alcoholism is both stupid, and offensive.

Still waiting on season 2 of 1923.
First season was really good.
Hope he put a lot more into it instead of just trying to get through it so he can move on to something else.

I would much rather see more of Demi than BB's wife or a Michelob Ultra.

He approaches show-running/writing in the same manner that an unscrupulous real estate developer/builder runs HIS business.

I think last night's episode will just setup some of the things we will see in the finale. And they haven't said either way if this is the last one or not ... they could do another season or they could just spin off more series.

But although I hate how Taylor has too many shows and hate that it took 2 years to get another season ... but I'm sure he had to start from scratch when Costner said he wasn't coming back. Probably not the easiest thing to do.

Jamie is likely going to die at the hands of Beth regardless. However, he was very fortunate to have Christina, the mother of his child he cheated on with Sarah Atwood to even give him any help advising him to hold a press conference and launch an investigation into John's death to buy himself some time and tie Sarah to the murder since she is dead now.

Lucky to have someone in his corner for as many times as he has shit on her and always having someone clean up his messes. I would like to have seen the press conference over all of the filler in this past episode. Hopefully the finale is a much longer episode like some of the first episodes of Yellowstone were in the beginning.

^ Problem is imo that she advised him to say he did not have a sexual relationship with Atwood - which may embolden the group who killed to John to release the video they got from wiring his house.

Just spitballing here but don’t that group is going away as yet

If anything, it is going to come from the FBI after the raid on Market Equities finding evidence that ties Sarah to the mercenary group, going through her files in the office and whenever Jamie's home gets searched for whatever is left after the documents Jamie shredded. Kayce has Grant Horton and the mercenary group that killed John by the balls. They aren't going to do anything without Kayce's knowledge. We'll see how dirty they are willing to fight back with Jamie knowing all of the family's secrets too.

I love how they had Beth calling Travis all those names. Beth is literally the worst human being in any show I have ever watched. I'm hesitant to watch the final just because I know Sheridan is going to have her win against Jamie. I mean, Jamie deserves a bad ending, too, but as long as he takes her out with him I'm cool with it.

You have to wonder about Rip's mental state. I mean who could fall in love with someone as horrible of a human being as they portray her to be? I guess love is not only blind but deaf, dumb and psychotic.

I'm guessing Christina is going to find out the truth about Jamie knowing what was going on and she may be the one who ruins his speech/backstabs him. I hope he dies at the end, but I’m not so sure at this point.

And a lot of the past two episodes have been filler. Pretty disappointing.

The news footage early in the episode that Jamie was watching also noted that there was proof of them having sex at whatever club/restaurant/bar they had it in earlier in the season (first half of the season i think). Told my wife that proof, if it exists, could kill his whole story.

Man, there are some very asture followers of the show in this thread, so this is probably going to come off as a very stupid question:

Why do the Dutton's owe taxes? Is it from an increase in property taxes and lack of revenue from the heard getting sick? I consider myself a math guys and I have no clue.

^ yes, property taxes and the like. Inheritance tax should added to the load. Plus he bought all the horses on 'credit' so the bills continued to mount. No idea how horses' income stream was able to pay off the original debt. But - I'm sure it made it more difficult to borrow more money to pay off the taxes.

1923 toward the end discusses the same property tax liability and debt.

Isn't the Yellowstone Ranch supposed to be 800,000 acres?
The 266,000 acre 6666 ranch sold for 320 million in 2022.
Would that make the Yellowstone a billion dollar ranch?.
Montana has a 1.06% property tax so would that make the taxes 10 million a year?

I'm really interested to see what this 'plan' is Kayce has for that hit man when he said he may wake up tomorrow and decide they no longer have a plan. Makes you wonder how much power that group still has in them once Kayce had that guy Atwood hired and his daughter held at gunpoint in their car. I think Kayce will have them kill Jamie because it would look too convenient at the moment for the Duttons to have Jamie killed and all eyes on them.

On the other hand, it seems both Jamie and that group now have a mutual interest in Sarah being framed for the murder and tying her to the scene works out for both which is what Christina said Jamie should go for now. Playing that porno between Sarah & Jamie might not be the best play if they team up. Seems unlikely with the hold Kayce has over the hit man group right now and you know Jamie will sing like a bird when it comes to revealing the Dutton family secrets to save his own hind.

I would not be shocked if the story ends here and if there is a Season 6 of Yellowstone. They clearly have stayed away from using the phrase series finale, using season finale. If it does end here as expected, the best thing for the Duttons would be to off Jamie ASAP so he can't talk. Maybe Kayce calls in one last favor with Rainwater/Mo Brings Plenty in exchange for the ranch. Someone is clearly getting blown up in that SUV and dumped at the train station in the trailer.

My guess and it’s just a guess - once Jamie makes his speech about opening the investigation on John & Sara, it may spook those to declare as they may be afraid they’ll be discovered - somehow in her records.

Plus Jamie doesn’t know they have the video of he & Sara in the bedroom and that’s a card that might be played after him declaring he & Sara did not a sexual relationship - which he is supposed to assert in his speech.

The one trailer scene that keeps going thru my head is the large group of cowboys on horseback and Moe in war paint. Has to mean something imo

Still think Tate ends up with the ranch. Duttons and Native Americans both get what they want and stay away from the taxes.

Jamie seems more concerned about their phone records with his number on her phone by the panic in his voice when Atwood was shot. The relationship has been pretty obvious. Even in the first part of Season 5, Jamie's secretary alluded to him knowing those two were together. Right now, Kayce is the one that tracked down the group that killed John. Outing themselves now releasing the video would bring them to the forefront of the investigation as to why they would have this recording to begin with and may screw with whatever plan Kayce has for them. It may or may not be significant. I believe the intent was to shut Atwood up in the event she talks but instead killed her rather than take any chances.

Know Beth saw/heard it but don’t if she recorded it.
I went back to check that episode. Been recently re-watching old episodes on Peacock. Beth walked into the bathroom and Sarah felt like they were being watched. Did not know by who though. Beth turned on the water facets so they couldn't hear well and took a picture of Atwood's license to look up who she really was. For some reason I thought there was a recording but in that scene Beth did not.

I have no idea about Montana but in KY anything over 10 acres gets a discounted rate for property tax purposes. So for instance if the farm has a fair cash value of $2,000 per acre for 100 acres of pastureland they may only have to pay taxes on $500 per acre.

Apparently it was just confirmed Rip and Beth will have their own show going forward. So I shall not be watching the finale. I still remember the letdown when they didn't kill off Negan on TWD.

I was disappointed when Rick didn't wake up in the hospital from his accident to find it was all a dream.

Christina likely already knows the truth of the matter knowing Jamie about as good as anyone. That is why she is only helping him for the sake of their child, and not because she thinks there is a chance he isn't involved. She knows what Jamie and the Dutton's are capable of when it comes to people who get in their way. She feared for her own life from Jamie after he killed the New York news reporter before she could release the interview of Jamie spilling his guts about John for her story during his campaign for AG. I remember that scene where she looked like she saw a ghost when the news report went out on the TV and called Jamie to meet over it at the coffee shop. Refused to meet him privately and is right to be wary of him. We have seen very little of her since then. Only during that time Jamie's Father reunited them in Season 4 to see his child for the first time and before Jamie killed Garrett Randall.

That makes sense. I just found it odd that they pulled her back into the show with two eps left. Feels like a move you make only if she is going to have a big role in the final events.

You have to think it something along those lines with the final scene last week. "The way to save the Yellowstone is to give it away"
