Not at all impressed by the cheaters. Up 8 with 18 minutes to go, mostly on exploiting size inside. But got otuplayed much of the first half. UNC-CHeats is the same team as last year - maybe Paige would make a huge difference but I doubt it.

By the way, looks like about half capacity in the Dean Dome.

paige is out. he is a huge weapon. but UNC should be a ton better considering how much experience they have. a guy like justin jackson...should be dominating in college. they will be fine...but they are still soft and cant shoot

Here's the thing... their cheating extends onto the floor and into the refereeing. You think people that are willing to go the the extent that they did to keep players eligible will somehow be above paying for results on the floor from the stripes?

A couple years back when UNC fouled out our entire starting frontcourt in a game they absolutely had to have the fix was definitely in. You want to investigate something then find out how they are paying for those results.

I can tell you exactly how. Having the ACC commissioner being connected to your program gets the job done. Just watch the calls MSU gets having the SEC commissioner being connected to them.

If you want to talk about the shady side of sports. Mitch Barnhart will never get UK calls because he never tries making connections outside of the state. I can tell you with 100% certainty Jurich makes friends in high places around the country and does it strictly to help out the UL program. Barnhart doesn't care to do any of it and its why he would never be even considered for a SEC office job....even when he's 80 and considered a vet of the profession. At least until he learns how to play the game. Sadly its simple to start...donating to their charities, attending their parties.... and then on from there.

It wouldn't exactly break my heart if we never played them in chapel hill again. The whistle we've gotten there the last two trips has been comically bad.

This is the high tide of UNC basketball. After this, their program dies. No recruits in sight and an aging, geriatric coach with no remaining pizazz; an informed handful of potential recruits steering clear of the dumpster fire that is UNC basketball.

It's over after this. The best part has been UK's ascension in Final Fours as UNC maintains their level at 18 overall Final Fours. UK is sitting at 17, with a great shot at earning another shot this year. I'd be worried if I was a UNC fan. Duke has already passed them by and Kentucky extended its greatness over them. Kansas is now making a real claim at the #4 program of all time behind UK, Duke, and UCLA.

Well if its all based on how good a team is..... then I guess those two teams were almost as good as we are because both games we only attempted 2 more FT's than them

We get the worst home court advantages of any top 30 team I've ever seen. Hell most of the time our opponents get our home court advantage.. I guess then its called Road game cooking or something

This is right to an extent for sure. Of course, if Duke/UNC had played Albany/NJIT they would have shot more than 4 total FTs than those two opponents. I will give Albany/NJIT credit for attacking the rim so much so that is part of the reason, but UK has never gotten the whistle Duke/UNC get.

I rarely see Duke, UNC or Kansas fans complain about their home whistle.

Now I've never seen any of them admit they consistently get great home whistles but the fact that they don't complain about it like most other fans speaks volumes.

They have signed 1 5* and 2 others in top 60 for next year.......
Maybe players that stay 3/4 year like the ones they have now.

A lot of fans on message boards love to squelch any talk about referee bias and FT discrepancy. Sometimes they are right. However, you are exactly right about Rupp. I know it will be brushed off because we are UK fans and see thru blue-tinted glasses, but there is no way anyone could convince me that we get anywhere near the home cooking whistle that Duke, UNCheat and KU gets in their houses. Not even close.

Duke vs Maryland NCAA tournament game in 2001 was particularly outrageous. Boozer fouls out Baxter by climbing over his back like he was a step ladder. There were so many outrageous calls in that game that is might as well have been an SNL skit.

Last year , Duke got calls almost as absurd. Allen drawing fouls when no one touched him..... Okafor and Winslow bulldozing like heavy machinery and it getting called as blocking fouls on Wisconsin

I haven't seen them play but it's easy to struggle in these early games, remember Buffalo gave our 38-1 team all they could handle last year. Time will tell.
