UL down 9 points to UMBC…

This is not correct. If the dog is +640, the favorite is not going to be even money, it will be minus quite a bit. For instance, currently Sunday to bet on the Browns to win you get $205 for $100 if they win. However, to bet the Ravens to win, you have to bet $250 to win $100. Tonight on our game, if you bet NMSt to win for $100, you would have gotten $1400 if they won. You would have had to bet $5000 to win $100 if you were betting Kentucky to win.

Re-reading your post, we might be saying the same thing. If you are saying the favorite was -700, we generally agree.
I never said the odds of the favorite, just that they lost their $100 bet. Smh

not trying to be an ass, trying to understand your post. Without saying the odds on the favorite, how do they pay 640 to the underdog winner, and get 700 from the favorite loser? Are you saying for every underdog bet there are 7 favorite bets?

Doesn't matter how many bets are made to get to the $700. But if you want to see it as 7 bets of $100 on the favorite, that equals $700

so you don't know? As we both know, the goal of any book is to get the bets even on each side, including the odds, and taking the juice off of the losers, which in general is about 10%. So tonight, to get the bets even on both teams they had to give NMSt +1400 and UK -5000. No juice on money line. With the new apps in Kentucky, they are charging juice on both sides (even on money lines) and taking a tax (which I don't think are the winner's actual income tax) out of winning bets. So, if you have a private book, you are better off using them, even if you declare your winnings minus your losses on your taxes.

How has their football and basketball team ended up with such soft schedules? They play 4-5 ranked teams all year in basketball; not to mention all the cupcakes in their conference : Boston college, Georgia tech, notre dame, etc

Louisville won with a terrible no call by a ref. Tre White threw up a wild layup with a few around 12 seconds left. UMBC player rebounded the ball with back to White. White bear hugs the guy from behind ripping up from waist to head and knocks ball loose. Traynor recovered and dunked. Read the LCJ article about the game. They described it as a game winning dunk from a lob by White. Lmao

UMBC got the call back when the guy had two feet out of bounds at the end.
