I guess a lot of us are pretty aggravated with where this team is (and the teams for the many years now) vs where we think UK teams should generally be at in regard to the cream of college basketball. But I’ve been very frustrated with the teams UK has had for many seasons now. And for me it has nothing to do with how many freshmen may end up draft picks, because I don’t think that equates with a team that should win a title (or even go to a FF) in college basketball. Those freshmen may have a lot “talent” (i.e., future potential) but they’re not the best players in college basketball because they don’t have near the impact on winning NOW.

I’ve heard people say UK has 7 NBA players on this team. But that’s not true. It’s no more true than saying UK has 7 high school players on this team. (Although the 2nd statement is likely closer to the truth than the first). What UK may have is 7 players who may be drafted based on perceived potential to one day be productive NBA players.

I’ve never sat down to watch an NBA game in my life and I grew up with magic and Jordan.

I couldn’t be happier. Seeing these kids make millions and make the all star game is always gonna take priority for me over how good Kentucky basketball is! Hopefully we get 30 five stars next year after seeing this! They’ll dominate the GLeague after leaving here with a round of 32 appearance.

I love UK basketball more than the NBA, and I like the NBA, but I wish all our former players the best.
So hearing our former players are doing well doesn't get me angry like the op would like, even if I am unhappy with our current team recently.
