UK - Loserville Game Thread

He's injured.

No fkn sht.

What does that have to do with him not being on the sideline? Have you EVER played football and been injured? You don't suit up, but you show up for your team. Air cast, shoulder harness, or using crutches if you have to, you put the jersey on and support your teammates on the sideline.

Ryan Day will be fired after the season if he loses this game which I think is insane but they have high expectations there.

Stoops to OSU?

Sad thing is, reading that got my hopes up. Even if we digress back to pre-Stoops levels, it will be worth it for everyone here to stop btchin about this staff. 12 years of endless btching is way too long

The Stoops supporters are all up in their feels today.

It is over for CMS at UK. Now, how long before MB and CMS recognize the obvious. A change has to be made. If not, things will only get worse from here until they do make a change at HC.

The entire staff needs to go. UK needs a fresh start in FB.

Hopefully a new coach will let his OC run the offense

I'm not saying I disagree but its not like Tim Couch played for a 5A or 6A school either.
We have tried two transfers that have NOT been successful at the college level. Neither were starters at their previous stops and neither were going to start this year at UGA or Rutgers, thus the reason they hit the transfer portal.

You can’t keep playing a back that can’t hang on to the ball. He must have weak hands to have it taken away twice, how can you look so bad in this game. The whole game I’ve seen Louisville players throwing Kentucky players around like rag dolls. 😡
You gotta put both hands on the dang ball.

Just asking but wasn't NIL supposed to originally provide pocket money for players who weren't allowed by the NCAA to work a job while on scholarships and work to prevent covert paying of players that violated all NCAA rules?

If youre sincerely asking.... Not really.

NIL was supposed to let them get paid for their autographs and secure endorsements using their name image and likeness, because for 50 years the schools and vendors of the NCAA made that money instead of the players themselves, or prevented the players from making that money at all (autographs and endorsements) because the NCAA tied it to being paid as a professional, which it isnt.

So, instead of making it ACTUAL NIL, the NCAA stayed silent so that it could go back to the wild west of paying players like it was before. They made more money that way, but now, as then, the member institutions trying to do things the right way are going to suffere. Then, when they step out of line, the NCAA will knock their step-children back down a notch or two in favor of the programs that bring in the dollars.

It was a usurpation if rights by the NCAA to not allow NIL.

Most fans may have thought that was what was happening with NIL, and understandably so, because it's a legal matter most of us never thought about. It always made me mad that the players couldn't get paid to sign their name on photos and such until after their eligibility was up. Made no sense to me having played and known so many that were playing at either HS or college level.

Exactly. It's not about the high school level at which they played. It's not just about how talented they are, how fast they are, nor just how smart they are. It's everything together PLUS FIT.

People that get paid 10s of millions to JUST EVALUATE QBs can't get it right at the NFL level. Same at the college level. BV was on scholarship at Georgia ffs. Levis wasn't a walk on at PSU.

BUT its also not just about one position. It's football.

Football is a chain. Two weak links in the chain and you don't got sht. Can't hide them as much as you can a player weakness on a basketball court. Basketball is like a motorcycle by comparison to the 11 speed transmission that is football.

What we may have seen happen is that each QB was better at certain parts of the offense than the others but none could grasp the whole, while the OL struggled to adapt to it as well. That's a recipe for disaster in a league like the SEC, and we know there are no other conferences like it.
