It’s possible he came back with no intention of playing, but to essentially start on a coaching career while on scholarship. Happens all the time. Sawyer Smith came here with no intention to play but was pressed into duty.

This is the most checked out on a season I've been in maybe 20 years or more. Probably since about halfway through. The coach and team have been as well.
