How do you figure? Every single current HOF coach has had scandals as bad or worse than Cal has ever had - difference is he wasn't accused of overseeing them. For Camby, it doesn't even make sense that he would oversee it - why would you hook a player (who was already on your roster) with an agent? There's literally no benefit (unlike, say, bribing a recruit).
But let's suppose, for argument's sake, that Cal was directly overseeing the Derrick Rose thing - he hooked up a fake SAT and everything. Is that worse than Prostitutes for teenage recruits? Not by a long shot. The level of embarrassment and public shame for your university is in a class with UNC and their decades of players simply deciding to not participate in school.
You have to go many, many levels lower to get to "cheating to get a single kid into college" level of infraction. You pass Boeheim, Calhoun, and a number of others along the way.
So even in the worst possible interpretation of the established facts, Cal can't match the sleaze of your athletic department.

I fail to see how that matters when
1. we know that the NCAA is willing to pound mid majors with crazy penalties to look like it has teeth
2. is unwilling to touch certain other schools (who should, by all rights, have vacated seasons)
3. is just generally wildly inconsistent in its rulings
And that Cal
1. Would have zero motivation to hook an agent up with a player that he already had (crazy risk, and what the hell is supposed to be the reward for Cal?)
2. has never done anything nearly as bad as the two most recent major CBB scandals by you fellas and the Tarheels.
The NCAA is an awful barometer for these things.
But even if you for some reason DID decide to take their judgement as the final word, then you'd have to accept their finding that Cal was not guilty in either situation.
