A closer look at the numbers indicates things may not be as bad as they look for U6:

- They held Boston College to only 364 yards rushing so they aren't as weak up front as it might first have appeared.

- Only three of the four starting D-Lineman on today's depth chart are seniors so they figure to be way better next season.

- Lamar Jackson only accounted for 82% of their offense so they'll be just fine next year. It's not like they're just him and a bunch of dudes.

- The program has a lot of positive momentum right now. They're 4-6 in their 10 games, including 2-6 in the last eight against teams not named Kent State and Murray State. Things are really trending in the right direction.

- They've got a new stadium expansion in progress. Ten thousand additional empty seats on a day like today will make for an absolutely electric environment.

- And even if they struggle a little more than expected in football, there's always basketball upcoming. They figure to be kicking ass up one end of the court and down the other in that sport for the foreseeable future.

So let's be careful about being to happy over today's outcome. A closer look shows a very bright future ahead. It's a great time to be U6C2.

You didn't mention the possibility that Katina Powell may have been involved in recruiting their football players, or that the firing of Jurich makes it easier for Petrino to bolt.

That's two more things they have going for them right now. What a list!

Post of the day, you single handedly have probably convinced some UL squirters not to head to the bridge. You should get an award.

I don't want Petrino to leave until Brohm is somewhere better than Purdue.
Sorry, but Petrino won't last that long in Louisville if Jurich is gone. And I wouldn't necessarily assume Brohm will jump into the Louisville mess. He might, but he can do better than that. My guess is Brohm might steer clear unless the right athletics director is hired.

Petrino will be their coach next season. But I bet Brohm would take it if offered.

"Sometimes when it rains it pours ... and then while it’s pouring some guy you’ve never seen before runs up out of nowhere, stabs you in the dick and then spits in your face"
And that is a USAToday article, isnt it? Pretty classy, even for U6.

My bad, the photo was USAToday, the "article" is pure U6.

Love the snark. Perfect parody of what those clowns have been telling one another for the last few years.

they have to win 2 more games to get to a bowl, and they go to Fla. St, 5-1 UVa, SYR (who just knocked off #2),Wake (who beat BC 34-10), and go to 5-1 UK.

I did see a tweet (I think it was in response to CardChronicle) that said that their personnel they've recruited on the present roster are built more for a conventional type of QB and that the personnel will match up better next year after Lamar leaves. They're on a different level of delusion there.

Of course, that doesn't account for their swiss cheese defense, that is the real issue. The worst offense in the ACC just list them up for 45 points.
