Am I correct and it's still on SEC+, which is basically live stream over the internet? Is there any chance at all it airs on regular tv somewhere? Or is that set in stone?

Assuming it is only over the internet feed, my questions are:

1. Is there a way to hook up a laptop to the tv so that it plays on the tv screen? If so, is special equipment needed? If so, what?

2. If it's a smart tv, is there any possibility of connecting to the feed via the apps on the tv itself?

I watched the exhibition game on my laptop and phone, so I'm aware of signing in on espn3 and using cable provider credentials etc. Just wondering if there is a way to put it on the tv screen.

The simplest way is to run an HDMI chord from your computer to your tv.

Other than that, you'll need an Apple TV, Chromecast, etc, all of which are more expensive than the option above - unless your TV or computer doesn't have an HDMI port.

If your laptop and TV have HDMI, you could connect that way. If your TV has a standard monitor (9 pin I think) input that might work for you as a way to connect your laptop as well. My smart tv doesn't have the ESPN app and I'm unaware of any that do.

Thanks! It appears an HDMI cord is what I need. Being as that is the only game this season that is like that I'm looking for the easiest and cheapest way to connect it.

1) Smart TV can just play from internet
2) Laptop with HDMI out and feed to a TV
3) Any device such as Roku, Chromecast, Amazon Firestick, etc.

Depending on where you buy the HDMI cable....it may not be too cheap.

This is sadly true for a lot of places.

For your purposes, I would just grab a cheapo from Wal-Mart if its going to be used sparingly. In most instances, an HDMI chord is an HDMI chord, the markup on the nice ones is INSANE.

If you have any friends that work at Best Buy, hit them up. Their employee discount knocks the price of the good ones down around 80-90%.

Amazon is half the price of walmarts crap. You still have time to get it prior to the game.

1 american dollar on amazon.

I buy them where I work for like $3 for a 12 footer. I'm no HI-FI geek, but it works well for me.

Oh, I"m fairly certain I have a couple extra ones around the house not being used.

But I always get my cables from Monoprice. $3-6 depending on length of the cord.

You likely have an HDMI cable already connecting a device (DirecTV, DVD player, XBOX, etc). If so, just disconnect that device and connect to you laptop.

(Note that on your laptop you may have to hit a key stoke such and "CTRL + F4" to toggle your laptop video output to, screen, HDMI, both, etc)

I don't think any smart tv's have the actual WatchESPN app. Roku (my favorite), Chromecast, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Xbox's have it know.

Since it was mentioned, never spend more than like 10 bucks on an HDMI cable unless your going like 25+ feet. There is literally not difference in a $5 Amazon cable or a $75 Monster cable. It just might be prettier. If you wanted to check, look for one that says HDMI 1.4. As long as it's that or newer, you'll never have an issue with it's performance.

This is annoying the game is not on TV. I guess due to college football Saturday. I am going to the game, but I feel for those of you who may have trouble watching it on anything bigger than a laptop screen. I streamed the exhibition on the PS4 on my TV...looked great overall.

If your tv provider is listed in the WatchESPN TV provider pull down menu, you have access that way with a HDMI cord.

A free 7 day trial of slingtv will get you 7 days access to WatchESPN. I use SlingTv now but ukbasketballlive usually has a couple of good streams. Really grateful for their support in the past.

How did you do that with the ps4 ?

Don't have a PS4 or an Xbox One. Just an old janky computer that I stream games one and hook up to my plasma. It's perfect quality. A stream mentioned here even has pause included.

I have a 32" roku smart tv that includes the WatchEspn app.
