and boy did he enjoy it!!

He was like a kid. When we got down 10 in the 1st half he never wavered.

-He yelled at the Refs
-Stood up and cheered to help urge on the Cats EVERY time those around us did
-Said he LOVED the music and atmosphere
-Stayed until after the game to soak it all in
-Was ELATED and drained when it was over

It's a day I will cherish and NEVER forget!!

GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!

These are the kinds of posts that remind me why I'm a UK fan. As opposed to the ones that try to tear our own team down every chance they get.

He must not read this board. Blue hairs do not yell at games, and they should give their seats up to students.

Amazing how many die hard Cat fans haven't been to a game. Such a huge fan base.

The shame is a lot of our fans have this mentality that it's nearly impossible to get a ticket when it's relatively easy. My Dad was like this and I've since taken him several times. Each time he stays until after the coach talks and soaks it all in like a kid.

Great story and glad you shared.

That's awesome bro! This is what makes this program so special to all of us and why we live it so much. The bond that it gives us with friends and family, generation after generation is undeniable. I have sooooo many memories over the years with my grandfather watching the games, with my dad watching the games, and now with my own son that will last me a lifetime. I have a picture of my son and I jumping and hugging at the horn of the 2012 NC game in my basement man cave. It is definitely my favorite UK memory. I'm so blessed that I could pass this tradition onto my own child so that it will continue on to the next generation in my family. It truly is part of who I am and partly defines my story. The passion will always be there.

That is so cool Ben. Yes, that's one of those days you'll always remember and cherish, and so will your father of course.

Glad you were able to take him, and glad he had a great time.

Let me guess, it was like in the Rudy movie where his father insisted watching the Irish on TV was plenty good enough for him...but then when Rudy finally got to be on the roster and suit up his father came...and said Notre Dame Stadium was most beautiful thing these eyes ever saw :) And I bet your dad probably didn't understand at all these people leaving early to beat the traffic either ;) What was his feeling when we did My Old Kentucky Home after the game? Probably not quite as emotional as this but still...

That's fantastic. I wish my father had lived long enough to share that experience with me. I'm thrilled that you got the opportunity and took advantage of it. You created a life long memory. Good for you both.

I love Happy. I wish we would do a hologram of him for senior night every year.

Don't be so naive, I'm 75 and my hair not blue.
And I still have most of it.

I was being facetious. Several youngsters on here habitually gripe about Rupp and have the perception that anytime it is not as loud as they think it should be, that it is because the season ticket holders are all just old people, who should not attend games.
