Clearly we do not have more talent than last year. Let's get that out of the way. That said, I really like how this team is made up. It seems to have a make up that will be easy to get into a nice rotation and flow. No more pushing different buttons every night to kind of see which one is firing, this year it seems we kind of know what we get every night and they will either win or lose. We'll see how good we are soon enough, but I think the team is going to be really fun to watch and should be able to really do some damage as the year goes on.

More offensive fire power than last year. Not sure how they progress as a team. This team can and will score. 85ppg should be minimum goal.

I give this year's team the nod offensively. It is close but I think think I give the nod to this year's team because of the strength of the guards. Defensively, it is not even close. Last year's team was much better. Defense is the area that will need to improve and eventually will determine how good this team can be.

I agree. I think this team will be better offensively. I think the guard play is much better,

Better guard play..........yes with Ulis and Murray.
Briscoe and Matthews still must prove it.
Great prospects but still playing hs ball.
Smoothest team includes Willis at the SF....for now!

March/April is a guard's game, with few exceptions (2012 even relied upon Lamb to explode for 22 points in the title game while Davis shot 1-10 from the field).

UK has one of the better collections of guards it's ever had. I know last season was incredible defensively, but their one weakness - stagnant offense - finally caught up to them against Wisconsin.

I feel this team isn't going to have a problem scoring, not in the full-court and probably not even in the half-court (Skal and Murray are too talented). The only question is whether UK can guard in the half-court and whether the rim protection will ensure support for the team's occasional perimeter defensive breakdowns.

That and the fact that college basketball is way down this year, gives UK a real chance to do something special in the spring.

My way too early to tell analysis......
Great guard play vs. very good guard play
Offense strength vs. defense strength
No real body of work vs. Final Fours
Brain vs. Brawn
Mystery vs. History
