A 30 point win over NJIT is impressive my friends. It's even more impressive when you consider that they came out and punched UK in the mouth early and led for a good part of the first half. The defense was worrying me early on, but our Cats buckled down and stopped the drives and back cuts for the most part.

Labissiere was ridiculous tonight! If he can shoot the ball like that consistently, look out! Willis played well again. How about that? Murray didn't play very well but the Cats still won by 30. Briscoe with the double double! He played well tonight, under control and strong. There's a guy who will fight. Lee played well also. Ulis was steady, as usual. Poythress came around in the second half.

We may not think this win was much, but NJIT will be a tournament team, most likely. Albany will be too. These 2 games have been good for our Cats.

Now bring on Duke!

I was impressed with NJIT, they are very good and they can shoot. This was a good win and our guys grew up a little in this game. They learned how to play defense against a team that runs a very disciplined form of the Princeton offense.

I was not a happy camper after last night's performance. Tonight, overall I thought the team looked much, much better. I'm surprised Murray didn't break the backboards with all the bricks he threw up, but other than that I was pleased, and am feeling much better after tonight's game.

Meh, we did what a good team should do. We'll know where we are after Tuesday.
I think you're underselling UK with this comment. You think Labissiere's 10-12 tonight was just "meh"? No, that was special. What about Briscoe's double double? Or what about Murray going off last night?

Now of course, we will know better after Tuesday night where we are, but the signs are pointing toward this being a very good team.

I don't know that the Duke game will be terribly instructive about where this team is headed-could go a number of ways? Certainly we won't be able to replicate the Kansas game last year.

I loved that NJIT team. The kids weren't intimidated at all by the Cats or Rupp. If Damon Lynn hadn't been in early foul trouble the game would almost certainly have been closer. These kids will be a legitimate threat to anyone they play.

NJIT is a good team that does not back down to anyone. Impressive win made even more impressive by Murray's off night.

I was really impressed with Briscoe he reminds me of Bledsoe he won't take any crap and is full of confidence.I love this kid.

This was exactly what this young team needed. A good opponent not intimidated by UK and comes out from the outset and smacks us in the mouth. We got a great chance to test the mettle of our team and see what they could do. They responded with flying colors.

I agree, this team can't do that this early for sure. I think anytime you play top teams early it allows coaches to see their weaknesses quickly.

I was especially happy to see our weak side rim protection improve substantially in the second half against that Princeton offense; that quick learning on how to make adjustments on defense bodes well.

Young players have up and down games and will have them all year. Hopefully we have 1 or 2 guys with great games while the others are down.

Look to having games with Briscoe with 20 and Skal with 4 or Murray with 30 and Briscoe with 0. Those nights are gonna happen with freshmen.
