This team gets a total pass for last night

We won. As has already been pointed out, this was sandwiched between a full travel week going to Clemson and then all the way to Seattle for a late night Saturday game, down two point guards, a big Saturday coming up with a rivalry game. The excitement of playing the cream puffs on the schedule goes away after the first three games. This was a trap game no matter how you look at it and we pulled it out. Someone already posted it bit earlier but I remember that 1992-93 game against EKU sandwiched between big games and we had to have Mashburn score a career high 38 points to win by single digits.

I was at that game. I was in the 6th grade. If we didn’t have Mash, we lose that one by double digits. That season turned out OK.

Absolutely. This was the epitome of a Trap Game. Matchup against a lesser known opponent immediately following a win over a top ten opponent before a rivalry game with UL.
Win is a win.

We have had a few other recent flat moments which have been as long as entire halves so there is room for reasonable criticism.
And in those situations the criticism has been justified. Against Colgate I think they deserve a pass.

Exactly right. Trying to say it was just last night is false. The 1st half of Gonzaga was the same way, and the effort and focus was lacking early on against WKU and Jackson St. Nothing wrong with pointing that out and seeing how that can cost the team down the road. Hopefully it’s figured out sooner rather than later.
Straw man. That's not what I'm saying. I never said it was just last night. But last night should be taken as a separate event given the circumstances.
