The difference in these two resumes is worth FIVE f*cking seed lines? Can anyone call Lunardi out on his biased BS?

DUKE (6 Seed Projected)

Record: 17-7 (getting blasted by 20 right now against Miami)

NET Ranking: 25

Q-1 Games: 2-7
Q-2 Games: 5-0
Q-3 Games: 2-0
Q-4 Games: 8-0

Best Win: #17 Miami (home)

(Their 2nd Q1 win is against Ohio State who has lost 9 of their last 10 games and I have no idea why the NET ranks them at 41).

Unranked Losses: Wake Forest, Clemson, Virginia Tech

Kentucky (11 Seed Projected)

Record: 16-7

NET Ranking: 31

Q-1 Games: 1-6
Q-2 Games: 6-0
Q-3 Games: 3-0
Q-4 Games: 6-1

Best Win: #5 Tennessee (away)

That difference in resume is worth 5 (FIVE) Seed Lines according to Joe Lunardi?!

Can anyone explain it??? We're "on the bubble" and they are battling to get a top-5 seed???

One game is worth 5 seed lines?

Is that truly what you think?

So if we had beaten South Carolina we'd be a 6 seed right now also? That's what you're saying?
Oh I agree with you.

But you asked "Can anyone explain it?"

That's going to be the explanation.

South Carolina.
People say that but Clemson lost to USC too. They also lost to ULC who is 8-14 by 18. That's 2 Quad 4 losses and for good measure they also have a Quad 3 loss to BC but are projected as an 8 seed. So how is that 3 lines better than us let alone not worse. They don't have a win anywhere close to as good as ours.

The bias is real.

The Fact that most of the computer models have UK around 30 and the AP poll has us 45 tells the story.
The biased UK haters dont want us dancing because they are afraid we will not only cut the rug but cut nets!

We only have like 4 wins against the top 100 in the NET and they should have around 7 or 8. Also a very very very bad loss at home against one of the worst P5's teams and I can see a gap in the resumes.

It’s not worth 5 but that usc loss is gonna cost us 3 seed lines. After duke loses tonight and if we can win tomorrow we will probably be an 8/9 Duke a 6/7 which is the effect of that terrible loss.

I count 5 for them and 4 for us.

Again, 5 seed lines? The differences we are talking about are for maybe 1 seed, 2 at the absolute most.

5 seed lines??

Them: Miami, Xavier, Iowa, OSU, Pitt, Wake Forest, Iowa, UNC
Us: Michigan, Tenn, Texas A&M, UF
8 to 4. Throw in the loss against SC and that is a large gap

We should have beat Michigan State and South Carolina and if we did that we would be a 5 or 6 seed right now. Seriously that is how much those 2 losses meant. Any loss at this point will really hurt us since we already stacked up 7 have only 1 quad 1 win and that hideous home loss to 1-9 South Carolina. It is Evansville all over again but worse as that Kentucky team was stacking up quad 1 wins left and right and we were debating if we got a 2 or 3 seed based on the Evansville loss and now we debate are we in our out based on that South Carolina loss.

Can’t explain the differences but best wins versus worst losses… bad losses are our issue.
Only 1 bad loss. Not plural.
Our best win needs to be worth more. Arguably the best win by any team this season.
Clemson shows that the USC loss alone isn't enough to drop us as far as he has us. A 7 or 8 or maybe even a 9 seed, would be reasonable. And the reason UK fans keep pointing out Duke is because (in addition to us hating them) they are over-seeded by the dude. They should only be 1 or 2 lines ahead of us, not 5 lines.

We havent beat Miss St yet but we could.
We still have Arkansas twice, UT, Auburn and UF.
We can make hay or get knocked out of the Tournament.
I have an idea whats going to happen.

If that truly is how it comes out we’re getting shafted. Yes it was a bad loss. It was NOT a five seed line loss. Ridiculous. No loss is that bad. Now if we gotten blown out by S Car MAYBE.

No disagreement here, can't wrap my mind around SC, of course 2 more wins would be 18-5, whole nother thing

Look, we SHOULD have beaten USC, no doubt. But, we played without Toppin and Wallace left with an injury after playing 8 minutes. That is (arguably) 2 of our 3 best players.

Well, you counted Iowa twice for them.

And you forgot Yale for us.

So 7 vs. 5.

Again.....5 seed lines??

For a 2 game difference?

I think the USC loss will mean less and less if we keep winning and have a number of quality wins with just that lone blip at the end of the year. Still ridiculous the discrepancy between us and Duke.

The SC game is a weight around our necks.

Committee is supposed to take that into account, but it seems like nobody does.

I remember when Zion was out, the NCAA announced that losses would not be counted against Duke. Admittedly, Zion was a special player but still. If it counts for them, it should have some relevance for us.

After this loss duke right now is a 7th seed. We are a 9 seed right now.
Wish we could get rid of our HOF coach like Duke and UNC did so we could improve as much as they have. LOL Wonder if they will ever have a number one class again (like we have) without their biggest cheaters. And our coach isn't even allowed to cheat.
