Perry Ellis is the reason i can never take KU too serious when it comes to winning a national championship. If helps them by adding Bragg inside to pair with Ellis, but if you have to depend on Ellis to carry a team, you're screwed. You will look great while playing teams with no size in the frontcourt but as soon as you put a guy a lil taller and can jump on Ellis, he's a useless player and can't produce the same results. I like the kid, but i'm glad he went with KU instead of us. I do think Cal could have put better players around Ellis and helped out in that area a lot, but when you have to build around one guy's weakness while building a team, it can be annoying. Ellis will be Ellis. He will look great during the big12 season and then the tourney happens and he will be guarded by a guy 6'10 and can jump out of the gym and he will vanish. He needs to practice the 3 and take his game further away from the basket if he wants to do anything productive against teams with bigger frontcourts.
