Since a Sweet 16 win over Houston in 2019, UK has now lost six of its last eight postseason games, a far cry from reaching the Final Four in four of five years and winning 31 NCAA Tournament games during the first half of Calipari's tenure in Lexington. With one of the best players ever to wear the uniform in Tshiebwe, Kentucky won just one NCAA Tournament game and went 2-3 in postseason games during his two seasons. Over the last three years, Kentucky is just 57-36 overall.

I get the idea that we've been bad since 2020, but it's in bad faith. Why count the loss in 2019, but not the 3 wins???

5-6 ain't that much better, but it's at least honest. 2-5 is bad too, but again it's honest.

I don’t think anyone knew this. I mean if it was common knowledge it would be a baiting thread for those that despise some or all aspects of the former amateur Kentucky college basketball program.

Less well known is that the current semiprofessional Kentucky team has only played 3 games in the NCAA tournament and won only 1.

Oscar is far from one of the best at UK.

Don’t we already all know this?

It is bad, but it’s over this year with another mediocre or poor season. UK won’t suffer the wrath of running a guy off. Everyone acknowledges the drop off is very real. Cal is not beloved and won’t be defended like some other coaches shown the door. It will be a small, rather quiet group that would go at UK if Cal is let go.

This Cal experiment had some really great highs but with unbelievable lows as well. I think many will be left wondering if it was an overall 15 year period that was a disappointment rather than success.

Obviously the last few seasons isn't where we want UK basketball to be. But anyone using things like "the last three seasons" and not realizing that one 9-16 season vastly skews those results, I don't know what to say.

Again not to say these past few seasons have been good cause they haven't been. To the point where you don't really have to cherry pick data to prove a point here lol.

1 title, 4 final fours another 3 elite eights.

There was a lot more highs than lows here.

Ultimately he'll be judged on whether or not he wins a second IMO. If he wins a second, most sane people will deem this a success. If he leaves with just one, most will view this as disappointing.

That my friend is a dismal record and not up to the standards of Kentucky basketball. We can make excuses until we all turn blue, but Kentucky basketball is not getting it done.

The Cats are no longer contenders, just also-rans, and that includes winning the SEC. Forget the NCAA Tournament, that is a pipe dream anymore.

Inexcusable. It's really the last 3 seasons though. '20 was a great team that won the SEC regular season by 3 games. I know the saying is love is blind but appears ar RR that the real story is hate is blind.

And only one terrible season over the last 3. '22 was a very team. Earned a 2 seed. Were most people's pick for the FF. That's a contender. '23 probably over achieved with the roster.

And that's a problem that has to be addressed. The talent the last 3 season has just not been here. 2 man team in '22. 2 man team in '23.

But wait, the talent drought has been addressed. Of course that means this forum will be a ghost town next season.

Can't excuse the coaching. The 2 seed that lost to St Peters is all on Cal.They were unprepared and not motivated. That loss sums up the frustration with Calipari. We can't ignore the 9-16 season either.Everybody had to deal with the Covid season,it wasn't just UK.
Currently next seasons roster is unfinished so I'll wait to see what we look like once it's done but results speak bigger than words and regardless of whom we have,it's on Calipari to bring home a winner.

Sounds about right. As Eddie Murphy used to say, "What a Bargain". Time to give CCC the Joker treatment, boycott games. Ticket sales and network ratings are the only thing we can control.

I think it’s officially time to say we’re in major trouble for the upcoming season.

It’s not been good but with only 7 scholly players and heavy rumors that Reeves and Oscar are gone, I’m not hitting the panic button just yet, but the glass case has been raised and my finger is hovering.

Maybe we hear good news in the coming weeks. But I don’t feel great about it.

Assuming that is your self portrait, damn. Brown bag son.

Why cherry pick your facts? Why not include all relevant data? Things like injuries? Things like massively underseeded teams. Things like CIVID effects on young players and inexperienced teams. Failing to consider all the relevant facts really makes it appear as though you have a personal vendetta against some personnel at UK. The people that make decisions will consider all the facts. Not just cherry picked ones that support their hateful agenda.

You can spew this crap all day long in a forum known for its misinformation and histrionics. Until you look at the issue exhaustively and from all sides can you actually make a case. The people that make decisions do just that.

You sure have a lot of excuses for MULTIPLE CONSECUTIVE poor seasons. Enjoy your mediocrity.

And I'm not fat. I'm big boned.

I never seen that many bones in a neck. But ok.

Excuses are facts that don’t support your story line. Using your terminology, the people that make decisions use all available excuses, not just facts from a group of hateful people.

How long will there be facts that make it ok for us not beating top 25 teams or having actual post season success?
