Terrible news on Becks injury.

Siap, I didn't see it. Anyway, its being reported that he has a UCL tear in his throwing elbow. A significant or full tear would require Tommy John surgery.

A minor, partial tear may heal up with rest and physical therapy. Prayers for the young man's future.
Isn’t that similar to what Brock Purdy had? Wish him well, even though he kinda has a punchable face.

Yep, with a new surgery that didn't even pop up when I was looking. Much less complex than Tommy John surgery. Purdy recovered in a crazy short time. Maybe Beck will ok soon as well.
I know a kid that had the new version for baseball. It was 5 months recovery instead of 12-14

There's no way he's playing in the tournament. They did their best to hide as much of it as they could so it wouldn't hurt their position in the tournament. Because they shouldn't have gotten a bye based on the injury in my opinion.

The bye has nothing to do with that either way. SEC champ gets a bye. Same for other 3 Champs of P4 conferences.

Kirby is notorious about releasing injury updates. But we have been told family is seeking a second opinion. Even if not a tear he is out 4-8 weeks. Lost our punter too, won the SEC but cost us any reasonable chance at NC.
K. Smart better game plan around running back Etienne and hope the young backup QB can mature quickly in the next two weeks. Also shore up the pass defense. Don’t know who they will play, but wish you guys good luck.

They earned a bye for being one of the top 4 conference champs. It's a rule.

They weren't gonna promote 16th ranked Clemson to the last bye over Georgia.

Their first game will be the winner of Indiana vs Notre Dame. They have a pretty good draw for the kid to be in there. I think they win against IU/ND and I think they'll beat the winner of Boise St vs Penn St/SMU.

If they can win those 1st 2 the kid may be getting comfortable by then. We'll see.

Now ww are being told it's a bruised UCL. I think he is done, entire team is behind Stockton like they were with Bennett. Getting 2 RB back, we about to make a Mark Soops offense look like a HUNU run and gun.

My son had the same type (Tommy John) surgery on his knee. His ACL was completely torn so they has to to take part of his patella ligament and make a new ACL. He's out 6-9 months. I think he could have been back sooner but his meniscus was torn in 4 places and that makes the recovery longer.

A girl on my daughters golf team did that and she just had her 2nd surgery. Another girl on the team has a brother who plays baseball and he also had 2 have 2 surgeries after tearing his.

Yeah hate to see that. Guys year really didnt go well. All down hill after getting his Lamborguini.

He had other things going on too, nothing bad but definitely a distraction. His GF is one of the Cavender twins that play BB for Miami. He didn't spend much time with the team any longer, but it's what young males and females been doing.

I'm sure he did. After watching him last year I really thought he'd follow the exact path Stetson Bennett did and have a big year this year. He was just that solid and poised to me. But something was off for sure. Confidence is a fragile thing too and can be shaken in an instant.

It seems most that undergo Tommy John surgery in baseball come back in better condition that before they were injured.

If I was him I would seriously consider having the surgery rather than just rehab and then have the surgery.

They often do because the rehab protocol strengthens finer muscle supports for throwing motions in the shoulder area etc that are often ignored until there is an issue. Then once the player utilizes those exercises they continue using them

That hit Beck took was a monster. Not surprised by this news at all, but I am saddened.

Georgia isn't completely done though. Stockton looked good enough and there isn't much tape on him for DCs to game plan around. If they can get a running game going they could still do something.

Throw a boatload of NIL to Arch Manning....He would be eligible to play Jan. 1, correct? Ewers might come back to Texas next year- what's Arch going to do-ride the bench for a 3rd season?

Kirby isnt going to throw a boatload at anyone. He sets his max, offers and kid either accepts or goes to next school.
