Team Recruiting Rankings...

Serious question? Why does anybody care where we rank in the class recruiting? As long as Cal gets the guys he wants, I think we should know by now, we're going to be competitive and be in the National Title discussion every year. Who guys a rat's a** if Duke or MSU has the top class "according to experts"? The majority of those "experts" clowns anyway. And if they constantly give UK the #1 class every year, why would anybody pay attention to them?

Even when we don't get who we want ('Bazz, Diallo, Brown, Bridges,Giles, Mudiay) as someone said in a previous thread, we still win (Murray, Gabriel, Bam, no sanctions or missed games or players not getting cleared).

I see many people get their panties in a wad saying we should already have the #1 class, Duke's class won't be better if we get Monk, etc. Again I ask - who cares? As long as Cal is here, we'll be loaded. LOADED. And have a shot a FF's every year.

Now let's go win tonight. Cayts by 90.

it doesn't really matter but what ESPN did with not counting Murray or Humphries was a joke.

But why care even if it was a dumb move on there part? Had they counted one or both of them and we had the #1 class, do we get some sort of award? It's not like we need bragging rights or anything. We know how good they are, and more importantly, so does Cal. Why should it matter if ESPN ranks foreign players or not? Just doesn't make sense to me. You know how many banners we hang for winning recruiting battles? Zero.

Cal thinks this will be his best recruiting class ever. That's all I need to know. Even if Scout or Rivals or ESPN has Duke with the #1 recruiting class this year, I trust Cal. We all should too. Regardless of what anyone else says, thinks, or writes. We've got the Don when it comes to coaching, recruiting and running a program. Put your hater blockers on and let's keep this train rolling.

In truth, it doesn't matter, of course. But you know, we're all in when it comes to UK, and we want our team to get a fair shake on every front. Since ESPN is the "world wide leader," it's especially aggravating when they misrepresent the Cats. And this talk of Coach K beating Calipari at his own game irks me. We all know UK had the top class this year but ESPN keeps on showing Duke at the top spot, while not even considering one of, if not thE best, guards in the class in Murray, as part of our class.

What's wrong with being a fan(atic)??? Isn't that why we are all on this board?

If your reason for being here is trying to bring sanity to this place then i wish you all the best...

I understand completely about the K beating Calipari at his own game. And I LOVED the fact that on the day that article comes out, we pick up an unexpected (until last night) 5* stud at PF. When is the last time Duke "stole" a player of someone else? But really, this is just all part of a bigger narrative - Good vs. Evil. We're considered the villain and I'm okay with that. As long as we're hated, that just means we're relevant - and in a major way.

And it's hard for me to take ESPN, the "world wide leader", real serious, when they employ clowns like Skip Bayless and Bob Knight. We should all try to be more like Cal and walk around with his kind of swagger instead of worrying about what some recruiting putz thinks about our class. Cal loves the class = I love the class. Everyone else can go kick rocks.

It is! And I love interacting with everyone, reading the breakdowns of players, games, talking about hypothetical future teams, rotations, etc., I'm guilty of "hate" reading particular articles from time to time, but never when it comes to recruiting. That's my biggest issue. If we don't know by now Cal will win waaaaaaay more than he loses (in every aspect of the game) we're all truly insane.

I'm not going to lie I still wish Bridges would have committed to us. Same with Wiggins and Giles. Bridges is a tremendous athlete and shoots the 3 at 41%.

Piss on Bridges...

I want guys who want us!!

I'm glad we have Gabriel instead!

I like his length and motor and he shoots it pretty well too!!

It doesn't make a dimes difference to determine who hangs a banner at the end of the year. However, ESPN proclaim their sports journalism credentials and almost certainly has the largest sports following in the world. They have an obligation to report accurately and reflect reality or to not report at all.
