To be part of finding and developing a QB or QBs and putting in a QB scheme that is simple to learn, blocking simply pass protection, WR route running made simple and recruit great hands not speed . Everyone becomes a 3rd down receiver on first down. Running great routes with great hand is more important than size and speed especially in college

I wonder how many drops , balls that hit players in the hand and was dropped this year?

I’d like to see Tim at least talk and work a bit directly with Cutter. He’s been down the exact same road and has a nice way about himself.

Wouldn’t mind asking Dermonti Dawson to do the same with our o line. In fact, I wonder if Drake Jackson could take over as our o line coach. He is smart and mature beyond his years.

There’s a big difference between playing and teaching, and great players don’t always make great coaches. I can’t find much evidence that Couch has even tried his hand at it at some lower level either. Seems pretty unlikely that he could be the answer to our QB development problem, much less develop an entire scheme and take on duties that involve coaching up linemen and receivers too, all in his first coaching position. I get that the status quo sucks right now, but this is a pretty far fetched solution.

Think outside the box fellas. He may suck but to not give it a try is a waste of effort. Stoops will leave when Barney comes up with the money to pay him to leave And remember to be safe Stoops needs to just win 3 more games. Win 7 and go to a bowl is all this low expectation fan base cares about. With Barney a 7 win season gets an extension and a raise.

Great idea! I can't think of a better way to reestablish a positive and winning culture than to engage former winning Wildcats, especially Kentucky kids.

I would love for him to become the general manager of the football program like Andrew luck did at Stanford

How do we know he’s not? Tim Couch would walk a bed of hot coals to see Kentucky Football succeed.

Why does he NEED to talk to Couch? I love Tim Couch, but I don't understand why he's the person Stoops needs to talk to. Furthermore, who says they don't talk?

Nothing against Couch, but Andrew Luck has the rare combination of being a great football player, having a great football mind and being insanely smart. He also grew up being around his father who was a GM in and President of NFL Europe, CEO of the Houston Sports Authority, AD at WVU, etc. Andrew Luck was the right choice because of a number of factors outside of him being a former star at Stanford.

Outside of being a great QB at UK, what does Tim bring to the table? Maybe he brings something else, I'm not sure. This isn't a figure head position. This is a guy who has the entire football program under his watch. Hires and fires coaches. Works with NIL. Works with the transfer portal. Shapes the roster. Makes player personnel decisions, etc. This is the person in charge and is really no different than a GM at the professional level. Andrew Luck is the top decision maker for the entire football program in all aspects. I just don't see what makes Tim qualified for that role.
