In the Blue/White game we saw some impressive scoring numbers by individuals but against Georgetown we experienced multiple shots blocked. I've often said that you play as you have practiced and I think there has been very little effort on shooting against real defense in practice. Thursday we face Kentucky State in our final exhibition will we see improved shot selection when defended?

I think that is part of the problem- not playing against the same kind of defense. I think the other part of it is that Georgetown was trying to block every shot. Not every team takes that same approach- many stay down and try to play positioning defense instead of trying to block shots. I think we will see a lot of improvements against Ky State for multiple reasons.

GT was very quick and athletic. And I believe all their blocks came in the first half. We just got caught off guard by it. GT is no slouch, they're not world beaters mind you, but they will steam roll the NAIA.

Actually they probably haven't worked much on defense compared to offense this early, happens every year.

I mean our starting 5 are playing against primarily guards and small forwards in practice right now.

Also, I think once our guys are practicing every day vs 7’0 shot blockers, multiple guys, that will make a big difference.
