...what's the longest amount of time you've stayed away without checking out the board?
For me, maybe 48 hours since December 2016.

This is me exactlyProbably some time in the last few years to be honest. I've been on here since 2003 and my interest has been dwindling the last 5 or so years, unfortunately.
When we are winning, it’s definitely a better place.Joined in May of 2019, so I suppose you can blame me for the last few seasons. Wish I had found/knew about this place sooner... Could only imagine the fun on this board during that 2014 run, for example. Really enjoy a lot of the conversations here, and hoping our CATS can help us put away some of the doom and gloom this coming season. Anyway, I'd say I take about a week off after the CATS lose in the tournament.
I’m that way after a season ending loss. Or especially so in the last couple of seasons. Cal is just not the same dude anymore and it’s obvious. Here’s hoping he has a miracle this year but I’m not holding my breath.Usually a week and it's after a devasting loss.... not interested in the doom and gloom posts.
I joined n 2017 looking for a place to talk basketball more. But I’ve been a UK fan since I knew what sports were. It’s in the family so I grew up with it. I think success in sports certainly comes in waves. We've had a negative snowball for sure in the last three years and seem somewhat snake bitten. No excuses. But I do think there's potential for a turnaround. Cal set the bar so high from 2010-2015. 17 and 19 we're disappointing endings to the seasons, but certainly title contenders... And I don't care what anyone tells me, the 2020 team had a real chance as well. But we obviously need to get back to the promised land soon.I joined n 2017 looking for a place to talk basketball more. But I’ve been a UK fan since I knew what sports were. I wasn’t too overly down on Cal until after the Auburn choke in the 2018 tourney. It’s been pretty obvious since then he’s not the same dude. We had a glimmer of hope the year before last. But we know how that ended.
Here’s hoping for one last spark from Cal this year.
If that is exactly what was said on here then I'm failing to understand how that comment has anything to do with racism. I couldn't tell you how many times I've heard someone say "Well it's a good thing old so and so got that job because he would probably be in jail or dead by now if he hadn't" and the people they said it about were white. So to me it's more their opinion of the person not the race of the person. As a side note and before you label me as racist, I don't think Lebron would be in jail if he couldn't play basketball but that is just my opinion. I just don't like it when people want to blame racism for everything in life and thus actually diluting real racist issues because of racism fatigue.I got banned a month in March for speaking truth to the mod powers. A dozen folks were saying things like if Lebron couldn't play basketball he'd be in jail. That kind of racism. I stood up against that post and got banned. And It kind of killed some small soul part of me, Coming back, I have much less interest in the crap on here or waisting my time reading it.
I just looked at what you're talking about and you made 4 racist comments and 2 other stereotypical comments in the post that got you banned. I'd say a month was generous.I got banned a month in March for speaking truth to the mod powers. A dozen folks were saying things like if Lebron couldn't play basketball he'd be in jail. What that sentence implies is that a smart, and ambitious person of color could never do anything in America with his career and life except go to jail, if he wasn't 6'9" and had no basketball skills. It disparages every person of color. It's like saying in 1965, as an SEC coach allegedly said, "I could win basketball games too if they let me recruit from the penitentiary."If that is exactly what was said on here then I'm failing to understand how that comment has anything to do with racism.
