I was really looking forward to seeing this #2 sophomore play multiple games at this tournament, but I think I just saw 2 different versions of this kid. The 2nd & 3rd games he was not the #2 Soph in the 2018 class. I don’t know if he was ill, injured, in the coach’s doghouse, or out of sync. For those 2 games combined he had 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 turnovers in 12 minutes. Combined stats for the 1st & 4th games he hit 15 of 17 shots for 32 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 turnovers in 26 minutes and showed himself as the #2 Soph. He has the body to do damage inside and gets out on the break. I’ll withhold judgment until I see him next month at the Spalding HoopHall Classic where Montverde will play 2 games.
