NJokic with a little over his average for the year. Triple Dub should be his nickname.

Great comment by the sage Kendrick Perkins insinuating that NBA MVP voters were racist in part due to Jokic's back to back MVP. And this year it goes to Embiid, which is fine, but the margin of that vote was crazy majority to Embiid.

If Jokic can carry Denver past Lakers.....that will be truly elite stuff....something Embiid has not even come close to sniffing.

racism love GIF

First time I've watched a full Denver game. Holy crap that guy is good and it seems like it comes too easy.
Kendrick Perkins is pretty quiet these days. I wonder if JJ Redick has hit him up via text since the game ended.

Dude with an Oscar performance on the boards last night. 21 freaking rebounds. That' s nuts.

Also a 2nd Round Draft Pick.

Wild.
I only watched the first half. That was all I could take, NBA is hard to watch, college is more enjoyable.
But I'm surprised he only had 21 rebounds, given that he had 12 in 1st quarter.

I agree, I like college ball over the NBA by a large margin (an even bigger margin in football), but that was one heck of a game last night.

Denver seemed to hit every shot they took, were up 20 and still kept hitting everything they threw up, but somehow LA widdled it down to 3 at the end. I still don't know how they did it.

Denver is impressive and Murray is a big reason for it.

But how many stars was he out of High school? That’s all that matters.

Rides the fence and spews off on what he feels like today and then retracts and throws it the other way. Very wishy washy.
Isn’t that just what those “first take” people do? Scream loud “hot takes”to try to grab viewer attention … and then later change their tune with contradictory hot takes when the winds change directions. It’s just about what will get attention on that particular day.

But it was still really crappy of him to make the MVP debate a racial thing. The discussion was then clouded by that angle every time it came up after that.

THere are parts of NBA I don't enjoy watching....some teams are like pick and roll to infinity is all they do.
But the shot making and floor spacing was bigtime last night.

Watching college is like 8 years old rec league stuff many nights....floor is clogged to no end, jack up terrible shots and run into each other to get rebounds. The college product is terrible to watch for the most part IMO.

Jokic the first half was unbelieveable. The speed in which he was running the floor and leaving Lebron and AD behind was what lead to the 20 point run out. He got tired somewhat in the second half and the game slowed down with a lot more dribble, dribble hand off or isoball and let the Lakers back in it. Luckily time ran out on the clock or the outcome may have been different.

I thought refs were horrible for college games. But they are worst in NBA. They call so many stupid fouls and then a guy gets clobbered they don't call it. But every single player whines about everytime they shoot the ball saying they were fouled.

There's a lot of truth there. But I'll add, the is a massive difference in the quality of play (and enjoyment) between regular season NBA games and playoff NBA games. Even if it was the same two playoff teams. I honestly can't watch regular season NBA, outside of a handful of headliners.

Yeah...regular season NBA is not nearly as good as playoffs...and to be fair...only certain teams are fun to watch.

Like watching Philadelphia...boring as all get out. Harden dribbles, then tries a pick and roll, switch defenders occur, Harden dribbles a bunch more and then drives into all kinds of people and tosses out to a 3pt shooter or throws up somethning. There other set is to lob to Embiid on the elbow and clear out for him to do something.

Nuggets and Warriors are fun...dudes cutting, some nice sets, Jokic clears out some but he also gets high post and hits dudes cutting to rim or 3pt line, etc...
