I would usually agree but all the computer metrics support them that high. There a glut of similar resumes from 6-9 seeds and the fact they only have 3 losses gives them the advantage. If they lose tonight i could see them as probably an 8 or 9 I would guess.

Also like I said I’m no expert just something I do for fun each year. I will most likely be way off on a few teams

I think NC State is much closer to the cutline would be at best a 10 might be a 11 might even be in play in.

I think Rutgers might be in the play in game.

Iowa is going to be higher they will not be in the play in.

Nevada I think might be out and Rutgers in that one is a tough call.

KU will be the top overall seed I think regardless of what happens in the last 10 minutes against Texas.

I’m interested to see how the committee handles Mizzou and UK. Kenpom and the NET much prefer UK. I was shocked to see Mizzou isn’t even top 50 in KP(51). But they did whoop us and not have the bad losses.

Shouldn’t be
Hell, Higgins and Sirmons together can’t get KU within 15 points of Texas, and just got through beating them like a drum last week by 16. Would only have 1 more loss after this game.

Kentucky will be 8/9. That’s default for crappy Kentucky teams. So if get lucky and win have to play 1 seed which would make for good national tv.

The ACC sucks way too hard to give all 3 a 5 seed. I have to see matchups but I would be surprised if more than 1 ACC team makes it out of the 1st weekend

My 2 cents. Marquette up. KSt down 1 line. St Mary's. FAU down at least 2 lines each. Nevada out. Iowa up to L10. Ok St into play-in. Duke or VA maybe tA&M up to 4.

Thanks Fran.

I think if Kansas loses that Houston should go to Kansas City and Kansas should have to go to the west.

Interesting. I’ve read a lot of posts here that Gonzaga is a paper Tiger who shouldn’t get 1 seeds based on the league. But today I see posts advocating an exception for Houston

Ok, but they had the same kenpom def rating the last two years and were beaten soundly in the elite 8 both years. So the comparison to Gonzaga is fair

Marquette will be at least a high 3 maybe a 2 I am torn on this right now. Depends on if the committee already did their seeding.

We all know Sunday don't make a bit of difference for seeding only if teams need to get in via the win.

We had 0 bid stealers this year so more reason for them to just put it in and forget it come tonight.

So what I was asking is does tonight make a difference in high end seeding or are they already blown past the top 8 seed lines ?

If UCLA/Arizona matters then who knows.

I could see Marquette getting a 2 over Baylor.

No way in hell is Marquette a 4 not a chance in the world on that one.

Bama kansas Houston UCLA
Arizona Purdue Marquette texas
Duke Baylor Gonzaga UConn
K st, tenn, sd st.

After those 15 you got a ton of teams that suck
This is a crazy tournament
Besides Bama Texas maybe a hot UCLA team
Nobody has a chance.

Man I really hope this is not a year like 2010 where duke is gifted a easy Rd win somehow
That 2010 team wasn't very good at all
