If the transfer portal continues the way it is, then UK has to be at the top of the winners in the portal year-in-and-year-out. I think the best teams will still build their nexus with smart recruiting of high school players that are projectable upperclassmen. But the portal is now more important to winning than OAD 5-star recruits. UK cannot just concede that ground and expect to be relevant in the title conversation - again in my opinion.

So you have inexperienced 18 yr olds going against experienced 20-23 year olds. They better be TONS better. Just don’t see it happening.
