Reds are nothing more than a Fantasy League team to the FO guys. They just don't give a shit.
As much as I love watching the Reds, they need to be hit where it counts the most with a damn near empty stadium every night and start blacking out their games on TV like the NFL has in the past. There should be no incentive to just skate by and that's exactly what MLB is allowing owners like the Castellini's to get away with.

Interesting that Senzel breaks his toe on CF fence considering that he shied away from the fence all year. He allowed several batted balls to hit the bottom of the fence or bounce off the track then the fence this year instead of making a play on them. More and more unlikely they'll ever get anything for him.

So do the Reds call up Siani or try to finish the year with Dawson or Piscotty?

One of the more sensible free agent signings that helped this franchise leading right up to the Chapman era. I was stunned when they splurged for him. Those were some rough years leading up to him being signed with the closer by committee approach primarily between Todd Coffey & David Weathers by the time the Reds released Danny Graves.

Votto meeting with the fans is really cool and the Reds need more fan friendly connections between the players and fan base during times like these. From some of my own experiences, the Reds players and organization don't do enough for the common fan so this right here is awesome.

It's bullshit it took Senzel getting injured and get out of the way for Siani to get called up. As I previously said, there were more ways to get him his quota of at-bats before the season ending injury.

Just goes to show they had no real plans to call up any more prospects in the system with a future in the organization.

It's absolutely ridiculous, Moustakas & Minor nearly $30 million combined this year and Castillo signs a 5-year extension that Cincinnati could have afforded if they weren't paying these two POS.

It's so easy to see why the Reds are in the shape they're in. Sad thing is there's no chance to fix this mess with the current ownership/FO. Improvement is far, far away.

Agreed, so frustrating to see our favorite players that actually are good go finish their career somewhere else. I don't want to hear anyone say how Castillo helped the Reds replenish the farm system when all they did was acquire shortstops with no apparent plan of converting any to another position in the immediate future. Never bought into Moustakas, even with Milwaukee/Kansas City and Mike Minor is one of the most bonehead trades they've ever made. Between them you could have kept your ace Castillo. Like Castellanos said, you don't know what you can afford if you don't communicate.

This one is a stretch. Honestly look back at this move as a disappointment. Was brought in for his gold glove defense and that damn error in game 3 vs the Giants cost the Reds a playoff series win. An error in Game 1 too and 2 errors in 2010 NLDS vs the Phillies. Let one of the best power hitters in the game for nearly a decade go with Edwin Encarnacion. Another example of a Red who leaves here and thrives. Would've been a natural fit at DH today in GABP.

The Reds may be shit now but have one of the best traditions in all of baseball. No need to water it down with guys just trying to hang on at the tail end of their career. At least Cordero is 2nd all-time in saves for Cincinnati but the all-time saves leader Danny Graves isn't in the Reds Hall of Fame.
