I watched him a lot in Houston and I absolutely hated his game - poor shot selection, no defense, multiple head down drives to the hole praying to get a foul (regular season - yes, postseason -no, hence his generally less than expected performance in the postseason), dribble 20 seconds and take a stepback 3 while his 4 teammates stand around watching, etc. So, I'm biased.

But, 4-16, 0-6 from 3 in Game 6 and now today's bad game only confirms (for me who, admittedly doesn't like his game) that he's not a clutch performer. He's had a long history of underperformance in the playoffs and these past 2 games are just more of the same. Probably a serious candidate for HOF but surely not for his postseason performances.

And that beard is just ridiculous.

He'll be at a Strip club within 24 hours.

Not the biggest fan, but perhaps he's not as bad off the court as some might speculate. To me this goes above and beyond and also perhaps an instance of many in which we also just don't hear about.

Never heard bad things about harden off the court, but on the court I’d hate him to be a “star” on my team.

He’s definitely not a bad guy off of the court .

He’s never won and he’s never gonna win.

Some players are just that way. Chris Paul is another.

The only way either ever wins a title is going along as a bench rider on a title team.

Neither can or will lead.

Embiid is trending the same way. Everything is great when front running. When things get tight he shrinks then blames.

He really stepped up early in the series too, shame he couldn’t keep it up, they lost the series in game 6 at home.

Harden was 1 Chris Paul injury from knocking off the Kevin Durant Warriors.... many people forget that.

I'm not a fan of his game either and I think the older he gets the more he becomes a "Carmelo Anthony" can see him phased out or he checks out of the NBA in a couple years.
They were up 17 in the first quarter of that series in a pivotal game they ended up losing by 27 I believe.

I can’t believe Embiid said this shit after both of them stunk it up . Harden didn’t score in the 4th quarter in any of the final 3 games .
Didn’t they win game 1 without him? Every time he stinks it up, he throws his teammates under the bus. Him over Jokic as MVP is laughable. He even dodged playing against him this season. Kansas trash!

Yeah, that’s a joke. I know the full context of what he said but to even phrase it like that was ridiculous when Harden was terrible in games 5-7, and he didn’t show up himself.

Harden is a volume scorer. When he is on, he can carry the offense. When he isn't, he brings nothing else. A good example was game 6 when trailing by 8 with 1:24 to go, he missed a shot, hung his head and trotted back up the floor. He was finished for the night.

Yeah but it sounds a lot better for Embiid when the entire quote is posted . The media is wrong for chopping it up like that which is going to get him criticized.

It’s like the media wrongfully running with the Randy Moss “ I play when I want” quote. That quote followed him for the rest of his career because they only play the quote without showing what he was answering .

I listened to him actually say it during the press conference, even then before he said the rest it, it didn’t sound good. He shouldn’t have even said that part IMO. Not the way they played.
