KENTUCKY OFFICIAL POSTGAME PRESS CONFERENCE:

*****

KENTUCKY HC MARK POPE UK RADIO NETWORK Q&A:

* Oweh was spectacular, and it was even more impressive because his first 20+ minutes were a little shaky. The fact that he didn't let that bother him, playing back here against his old team, was special. I've never had a player put the team on his back like he did tonight.

* Liked the way the Cats finished. Not just Oweh, but in getting some stops on the other end. They finished this game much better than some of those similar games where they let the win slip away.

* Jaxson Robinson's wrist did not respond well to his playing time in the first half. They'll have to wait and see how it feels tomorrow, then go forward from there.

* On the last possession, with no timeouts and no Lamont available, for the guys to come up with that stop and get the rebound, that was an important moment for our guys.

* You could see some conditioning issues with Lamont. It's just different when you get back out there after so much time off.

* Brandon Garrison was elite defensively tonight. We switched a lot in this game, and that put a lot on him. He may have guarded Fears better than anyone else did. He's got a really high ceiling on that end of the floor, so much more room to grow.

* Felt like a first-round NCAA Tournament game.
