MARK STOOPS Q&A:
* More of the same, Stoops said. Can't finish drives, can't get in the end zone, allowing too many big plays.
* Auburn came in here in a tough situation and played extremely tough.
* We have to get some guys healthy, have to get better, and have to look at options to get better next week.
* Asked what has happened to the offense, Stoops says no excuse, we just got beat. Credits Auburn. They were aggressive and in our face. Pressured us, and we didn't respond very well after the 10-point lead.
* No health situation with Brock Vandagriff. Just wanted to get a look at him and see if he could help us move the ball.
* Asked if the defense is getting demoralized because the offense is so bad, Stoops says it probably has more to be with being beat up right now. Doesn't want that to sound like an excuse. Says everyone is beat up at this point in the season. You have to find a way.
* On the offense going 3-and-out after Hardaway's INT.... That was not a good possession. We had been moving the ball, and after that, we did not move it.
* Stoops says he doesn't want to make headlines over the QB situation. Both guys have been playing. He's just trying to figure things out. We're just not playing very well. It's never on one person. Everybody likes to concentrate on the QB position, but the bottom line is we're not playing good offensive football as a team.
* Ankle injury for JJ Weaver. Praised him for his big play at the end of the half. Awareness to realize Auburn was out of time outs was huge, to get up and stay on the field.
* On how to boost the team's morale at this point... It's like this every week in this league. It's brutal. We have to man up. There's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide in this league, and I've got to do a better job.
* We were a little off-balance all night. Credit them. They moved us, they have a back that makes you miss, ran for an awful lot of yards. It's a little bit of them being really good and a little bit of us being bad.
* On what the message is to the team... Gotta look at everything. You can't point fingers. You have to find solutions. Very frustrating. No excuse for it. We have to do a better job.
