* Cats get the win over a feisty Georgia State team. It took a flagrant foul and a little dust up to wake up what had been a sleepwalking group of Cats.

* The score was 59-53 at the 13:30 timeout. The technical fouls occurred less than a minute later. The Cats outscored Georgia State 46-17 to finish the game ... and that includes a 6-0 run by GA State to finish the game when Kerr got shot happy.

* The stat of the game, Cats were 7-26 from 3pt line while Georgia State went 11-21, for a +12 on the game .... Robinson, Brea, Kerr were a combined 4-17 from the 3pt line ...

* Amari Williams has not been good for 3/4's of the last two games, but woke up the last 7 minutes ... he and Garrison have to be active and productive for the Cats to make a run.

* Cats need to play with better full game urgency - more like we saw to finish the game - in order to compete in the SEC this year. The league is very strong this year, top to bottom, no easy games. Our defense will need to do a better job of defending drives to the basket ... we are going to see a boatload of that this year playing against a lot of very athletic teams.

* Up Next: The schedule starts to heat up, first with a trip to Clemson on Tuesday night.
