When you do your personal taxes, do you take advantage of every loophole and deduction you can to minimize how much you pay? No different for Corporations, or the elite, and they still pay infinitely more than you do regardless of the loopholes they utilize.
I agree, simplify the tax code. it shoudn't be so complex that if the IRS wanted to audit you, they could manufacture a costly mistake somewhere based on the complexity of the code.
Even better: if the bureaucrats would quit wasting a trillion dollars a year, taxes wouldn't need to be extracted from either individuals or businesses at such immoral rates.

The workers are getting screwed while people flying in private jets write in deductions for jet fuel.
Just guessing but hopefully its because of victim rights. In these cases, victims, especially if they were underage at the time, have extensive rights including notifications about release of info and time to object, iirc.
They also have right to pretty powerful civil penalty options.
I mentioned the civil penalties because i bet none of them ever made any effort to get what would be pretty significant money from folks who can obviously afford it. So any stall efforts on the victim side is undoubtedly from some bs groups funded by who knows what.
