From the article:

The US government currently has about 4.6 million active credit cards or credit card accounts on file – more than the total number of federal workers (about 3 million), not including government contractors and active-duty military personnel.

Around 90 million unique transactions were made on the cards in fiscal year 2024, running up about $40 billion in bills for the federal government, according to DOGE, which cited publicly available GSA data.

“DOGE is working w/ the agencies to simplify the program and reduce admin costs,” the group wrote on X last week.

The order includes exceptions for “any credit cards held by employees engaged in, or charges related to employees utilizing such credit cards for, disaster relief or natural disaster response benefits or operations or other critical services” as determined by the agency heads in consultation with DOGE.

Credit cards, linked to major banks, are issued to federal employees in more than 250 federal agencies and Native American tribal governments in order to “make purchases on behalf of the federal government in support of their agency’s mission,” according to GSA.

For decades, the federal government has been plagued with scandals involving the use of taxpayer-funded credit cards.

Over the years, government watchdogs have found everything from adult entertainment to Lego toys to lavish, multi-course meals being charged to taxpayers.

DOGE: After 8 days, ~24,000 cards have been de-activated, which will likely double by end of week.

This is what these idiots do. They try to get you bogged down in minutiae that doesn't even matter. Wasting your time is a victory in their tiny little pea brains. Just put them on ignore.

You'll never be able to get through to these people. The ones who were reachable have already jumped ship.

Disaffected liberals and other ex democrats make up key members of this administration: like RFK jr and Tulsi Gabbard, the various tech bros like Elon Musk, and hell even DJT himself is an ex dem. And their clarion call of RAYCIST BIGOTS!!#! anti LGBTQRSTLNE!!# rings very hollow too as there are plenty of homosexual and non-wh9ite members of his cabinet.

Not just the undocumented. Citizens will defend them. Underground Railroads and everything. If you think a mass deportation effort will be bloodless you’re dreaming.

And you can sit here all day long pulling up quotes how wrong they were...

Wrong today, wrong yesterday, wrong tomorrow.

Exactly. Though the firings are better than nothing obviously.

Agree with you. Lets get them out of power first. Then lets worry about punishment.

Just think: thats just one quasi ngo. I call it an ngo because usaid paid him so much. There were scores of others all with usaid, our shadow government, calling the shots. All using the same blueprint they used in many foreign countries.

Then they start working with Brazil "allies" and bragging about how these tactics worked against trump so they will work there too.

Usaid probably created them. They literally created the taliban and isis. Created, funded, and trained. So they could fight Russia. Who knows if the shadow government stopped there or not.

So its definitely fair to wonder if they created hamas and other terror orgs too. Creating and funding paramilitary groups is part of an outdated regime change mo. Back before they had the Internet and social media to brainwash people.

yall ever notice how everyone's first reaction is to be aggressive and a jerk about different opinions on here.
yall need to chill on being buttheads, the social media bots have conditioned you to just respond with anger to everything.
Aggressive jerks, buttheads, MAGAys ,
I wonder why people would react with anything but pleasantries?

I have mixed feelings on the Medicaid issue. IOW, I don't think the 29 year old video game player is the one that is putting a major strain on the system, and I'm afraid that if you pull that, that you might be taking much needed mental health resources from a large group of the population that needs it most. "sending them back to work" isn't going to, in most cases, provide them with any decent healthcare at all.

I know they reduced funding but was there changes to who qualified?

I see the machine pushing social media and msm stories that say over 400k Kentuckians will lose Medicaid. I just assume its just another concerted, coordinated attack.

To be completely honest, I'm not sure. I don't know anyone in that situation, which is no excuse. I need to become more informed on that.

A tangent to that, or rather, a helpful means to that end, IMO would be to open an easier pathway for non-violent felons to be able to get those convictions expunged. I DO know several young men/women that have turned their lives around but the major thing holding them back are their criminal records. It is damn near impossible for them to obtain employment that offers actual benefits because of their past. This hurts ALL of us.

Is that how I started out on here? Or were those responses to posters denigrating myself for multiple days first?
You’re cherry picking I get it, but I also posted I needed to do better myself to my post you linked.
Anyways enjoy your day.

The act doesn't absolve you.

Like it or not, there's a very long line of posters who've came and went posting exactly like you. You're an archetype.

I think it depends on the state by state rules on if it’s age and income, or just income based.
I’m sure if this chart will pull up in here but here’s Tennessees eligibility. Chart but they’re probably one of the more stricter I would assume.

Whatever dude, if people are being jerks I try to respond nicely, but if they continue to bully I’ll play their shallow game back at them.
Maybe it’s only tribal for you, if it’s your guys doing it then it’s ok.

The reason i assumed qualifying didn't change is because the coordinated attack doesn't mention any changes. Instead they say 400k Kentuckians COULD lose coverage. So far as i can tell, that is based solely on reduced funding.

So it seems to be just a scare tactic.

You are free to act and think as you wish.

And if it's tribalism that you are against, then you are part of the problem. To expand on my earlier analogy, you're the guy who farted then asks who did it.

I hate when people say "non-violent" felons.....was it a felony or misdemeanor? Steal a car or a pack of smokes? Once or more on their record? Decisions have consequences, and yes, there are those that have "turned their life around", and yes, there are programs for those who can be contributing citizens. They may not be on your law firm, but there are numerous blue collar opportunities if they truly meet the criteria. And it definitely doesn't hurt "ALL of us".

If they don’t change qualifications but change funding levels is it just a first come first serve basis until the money runs out later in the year.
It’s all so murky.

Thing about it is that most of these types are unemployable. They will have to be trained to do work, not just trained in a specialty type of work, but just trained to do actual work because they have zero ethic or skills.

Oh, you think they are going to do ag work like the Mexicans? LOL. Hell no. That is hard assed work. I know because I did it growing up. That kind of work will break these types of people literally. They will need medical coverage to rehab their broken bodies. Besides, I wouldn't trust them around farm equipment.

Not sure where they will work either. The job market is bad right now.

I will say one more thing and shut up. I'm not sure that ERs can handle an extra influx of uninsured people. They are already jammed up to the max. UK's ER is a nightmare. Take away Medicaid and you might see them collapse.

Elon is posting on doge calling out no bid govt contracts as corrupt and canceling them.
While self dealing himself the FAA contract….

I'm speaking specifically about felonies. What programs are out there? It's my understanding that currently, you need to retain a lawyer if you hope to have any success in the expungement process. I would imagine that could be problematic.

And yes, if there is a segment of our population that is being held back from obtaining meaningful/living wage employment because of a convoluted process, then it DOES hurt the rest of us.

He’s LAUGHING at you Joe! LAUGHING!
It hurt me, it really does. He is your typical angry internet tough guy. Unable to see other sides of an issue and blows his wad if you have an alternative view. IIRC, he said earlier this week that he is a teacher. Probably one of those teachers who tries to indoctrinate his students all the time. I've read on this thread that is a common thing in schools these days.
