When people (and I mean you Kopi) jump into a conversation between two people and make a remark that is completely irrelevant to the conversation...you look pretty stupid.
Nobody was talking about how the electoral college worked out in a particular election. The discussion was about how independent voters ultimately come down on one side or the other.

All Kasich is doing is draining votes from Rubio
So Kasich finishes behind Carson in Minnesota. I don't think that whole Midwestern thing is working for him. All Kasich is doing is draining votes from Rubio, which is enabling Trump, which is electing Hillary....
So who are the anti-Trump GOP voters going to vote for?
Evangelicals are jumping on Noah's Ark. hahaha
Kasich has been campaigning in Michigan, not Minnesota (a caucus state). That campaign is so cash-strapped that it'd be suicide to waste money on a caucus race.Very disappointing evening for Gov. K, indeed. But don't expect that plenty of Kasich's supporters won't also lean to Trump. Lot's of them. Most of them envision Kasich as a very likely running mate. So if not voting for Kasich in a primary, who else would they vote for? Somebody who is never going to be in a position to choose a running mate? Think about it.
That's what I don't understand. You're ranting and bitching (not you, this group) about how awful he is but your other option is Hillary and the dessimation of the Republican Party.

You can't extrapolate much, if anything, from Kasich's performance in Minnesota. Michigan is his Waterloo; nobody expected him to do well on Super Tuesday, nor did he have to.
you guys do realize these states are awarding delegates proportionately, right? Trump and Kasich both got six delegates from VT (out of 12 total)I actually expected him to win Vermont tonight. Somewhat disappointed.

Really? It appears there is a growing amount of Repubs voters who aren't buying the "oh shucks" Christian candidate. I mean, ya'll can keep trying to wondering why. But ya'll need to ride the ass of a fiscally conservative president who will reduce the federal administrative pay and programs across the board
updated total:delegate counts after tonight:
Trump - 268
Cruz - 142
Rubio - 78
Kasich - 24
Carson - 8
the large, winner-take-all primaries starting soon (everything thus far has been proportional except for SC):
15 March - Florida 99
15 March - Illinois 69
15 March - Missouri 52
15 March - Ohio 66
22 March - Arizona 58
5 April - Wisconsin 42
26 April - Maryland 38
26 April - Pennsylvania 71
3 May - Indiana 57
10 May - Nebraska 36
7 June - California 172
7 June - Montana 27
7 June - New Jersey 51
7 June - South Dakota 29
No, it isn't that. Not for me anyway. I was hoping Kasich could produce specific voter numbers in VT to indicate more useful trend for him in particular. Plus, the fact that pundits wouldn't be able to say "he didn't win any states". Simplistic and shortsighted, certainly. and I don't give two ishes about his faith.
power rankings of Cruz' features that make him unlikeable:Cruz has a rigid personality problem that makes him unlikable. Shame, guy is prolly the smartest, yet has the likeability of the flu.

(1) His face
(2) His facial expressions
(3) His tone of voice
(4) His personality
(5) His melodrama
(6) His toothless grin
dude looks like Mrs Doubtfire in reverse drag
It is not playing well with conservatives like me either. Independent....here I come. I have grown weary of the GOP and their establishment mentality.Just got done watching Cruz dig his own grave. His "I will not compromise on..." is exactly what people are sick of. It may play well to the base but it won't play well to the independents. You can't win without appealing to independent voters.
Perhaps those people came here for the American dream and have really pledged their allegiance. Those that scream and yell viva la Mexico or any other country while living here should simply go back to the countries they pledge their allegiance to. If those countries are so great, why migrate here? I mean that for everyone. I was born in Kentucky. My lineage is of Scottish, Irish, and Cherokee but, I am an American and do not pledge allegiance to any other country but this one. I have coworkers that say they are tired of this country and want to go back to the home of their lineage. When I ask them when was the last time they visited Wales (this is their fore fathers home) they say, " I haven't been there yet". My next question is, "How can you go back to somewhere you have never been?" They just scoff at me and walk off mumbling.Honestly, and like you, I live and work with many Hispanics, I see a 40/60 - 30/70 split for Trump. Texas is usually a bit different, largely because of the large Catholic-Hispanic base here. Heck, who knows? My former supervisor is pro-Trump, and she was born in Mexico. Go figure.
Willy, what we have here is a failure to communicate.Wait. You're getting on Kopi when you stated 20 states don't hold requirements for voter registration, yet that doesn't have anything to do with if a voter is actually registered in those 20 states.
You're getting on him for that? hahaha
Well, looks like he was right. (No matter how insulting.)
This one one is very legit. This is fake and was debunked.
Once you've decided you aren't going to vote for any of these assholes, it's truly amazing to take a step back and see the rationalizations people come up with to convince themselves to vote for someone.
Goddam we're screwed as a country.
Although Jamo's post with Lindsey Graham's reactions a couple pages ago has been the closest thing in this thread to getting me to actually vote for Trump.
meanwhile mafia-esque fixing on the other side.
