China isn't as unified as they'd like the world to think. There is a movement among young men too. They aren't working for the usual places and just accepting mediocre lives. They aren't protesting like the Tiananmen people or students in the past but just by refusing to play in the CCP's game they are causing tons of problems.
I understand where you're coming from. My "honeymoon" with Pope Francis wore off within about 6 months after he became Pope. He made a lot of terrible decisions regarding doctrine and personnel management, too numerous to go into here.
I would say that in spite of him and his decisions, the Church has really grown in the past few years (especially this Easter). I'm not advocating a return to the Latin Mass, but hopefully the next Pope will reverse most of the bad policies imposed by Francis and put the Church on a more conservative course.
At least he didn't shit on him.

I rarely use the word except in the rarest or dramatic of cases in front of anyone. My wife and I knew a guy whose wife was doing drugs. He told the cops that she was on the verge of OD'ing (he was at work). The cops never forced their way in and she died.Really enjoyed that series. Thought it was very funny. And I can watch Rachel Brosnahan anytime. Sometimes, I really notice how much the F-bomb is used and sometimes not. When it's in every other sentence, it becomes annoying. When it suddenly springs out of the blue for no reason, it feels like it's used to secure a little more adult rating rather than actually be critical to the story/character development. Personally, I use it WAY too much and am trying hard to curtail my use of it. The younger generation seemingly uses it as every possible type of word (noun, verb, adverb, participle, adjective, interjection, etc.), sometimes in the same sentence although they couldn't diagram a sentence if their lives and the lives of all their IG friends depended on it.

I would never describe him as one of the best. But yes, in academia they make him out to be WAY worse than he was. (not that I'm saying he WAS a bad POTUS)
I think that's mostly because, regardless of what you thought of him as a politician, he wasn't a very nice person, and he DID make life way harder on the Native-Americans than was necessary. He didn't have much formal education either (although he was highly successful in spite of that) but that sort of thing needs to be discouraged by the faculty/sweater and wine people.
They hold nothing but contempt for successful people that don't pursue knowledge for the "right reasons" ie. because it is the noblest of lives, but rather as a means to an end (solving actual problems, building stuff, creating commerce etc.) They think that THAT life is boorish and common/beneath them. that is until the alma mater needs an endowment, a new library, or the plumbing fixed.
